Sun Inn Murder Artefacts

Featured Replies

What a pity it is when the artefact's belonging to the Sun Inn murders are leaving the Shire.

Woodhorn Museum never even had the decency to reply to our Email or calls.

They are 100 years in April next year and no one will ever see them in the Shire again. What a pity?

They needed to be kept in the proper conditions to keep them in prime condition and our offer to Woodhorn

has been in vain.

We can only say sorry to the community, but we have tried to get them retained in there rightful place.

So much for a museum, they should be ashamed of themselves.

David Cowans Bedlington history society has a family connection.

His family took over the pub and cleared the blood up!

I hope you got some pictures just before they went John.

The Sun INN murders are one of the events we are going to cover in the Heritage project and I was hoping to get pics of you displaying the artefacts you had.

The artefacts are still with the group. Letters by Amos, police truncheon, Note book from Sgt. Barton with blood and pellets in, Two sets of handcuffs,

Lots of stuff and some new rare pics have been past to me just last week including police whistle :)

Keeping them for the 100 years coming in April.
