Maggie/915 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Ian de Montfort is unbelievable on radio 2 Thursday 9.30, last weeks on I player.Guess from his accent he is from further south, still NE. Very funny we think. He really is Tom Binns. Also recommend the music of 'I am Kloot' band member Peter Jobson went to school in Morpeth. Most people will have heard of Ross Noble from Cramlington. If you have not check him out.As I have put things in the wrong forum I felt the need to raise the profile of anyone from the NE.
Maggie/915 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Bellowhead! Their cd Broadside starts with Byker Hill.Second track is the Old Dun Cow!Worth a listen. If you get the chance go and see them live.
Brett Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Really enjoyed Bellowhead the few times I have seen them perform, not live however.Sloe Gin set is a right foot tapper.
Maggie/915 Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Posted February 17, 2013 The BBC session one Christmas is good. There is a good song called the Mistletoe Bough which I have not heard on any cd.We have tickets to see Clannad soon, guess that will be the exact opposite of Bellowhead. No one will be up and dancing.
Brett Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 The full thing is on Youtube.I recorded it on the Sky+ box and watched it again last year. Awesome TV for a winter christmas night.
