Wee can mind the lops?

Can't remember lops but can remember  the 'dickies' - and of course the 'Dickie norse' at school (Nurse Crow, if I remember rightly).

Lops were on the body, dickies in the hair! Lops were usually from the "lopy dog"

Either way it was a term of abuse.

You are 'lopy'

I think it applied to anything moving that was not to healthy.
