Canny lass Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) Me too! haven't sat in the front seat since 1967 when a taxi driver, religion unknown, put his hand somewhere other than on the gear stick. Correction: to my last post. I meant to say that these few women will NOT be able to outbreed the local population. Edited December 21, 2015 by Canny lass
Canny lass Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Never a more true word spoken Maggie.
pilgrim Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 on the progeny theme .. that reminded of the tale of a young white english female who had 10 offspring of tender years all of whom were called Dwayne. When asked why she expianed it made it easier to call them all in for meals at the same time. When pressed on how she managed to address an individual among her horde she responded - thats easy - i just use their fathers surname.......... nuff said i have consisitently found a far higher work ethic in an integrated ethnic group and a far higher traditional level of family values in the same demographic than in comparable 'local' families. On the taxi driver -- would you really want to sit in the front seat?? after all what does he do there when he's waiting for a fare for all those hours????
Canny lass Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 He polishes his gear stick while waiting for the next 20 year old to come along!
webtrekker Posted December 22, 2015 Author Report Posted December 22, 2015 Now you're tarring all taxi drivers with the same brush! (Joke. Honest!)
Canny lass Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 I think "taxi-driver" and "he" are written in the singular Webbtrekker.Just joking, industrial injury!
webtrekker Posted December 22, 2015 Author Report Posted December 22, 2015 Sorry CL, I only have English as a second language, having been born and bred in the North East,
Canny lass Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Same here - and still proud of it!
pilgrim Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 maybe mike neville and george house should be ressurectd to teach 'english' in schools - although they still wouldn't understand anyone from ashington..... (I can speak Polish after enough vodka -- all them z's..) err - tarring his brush ? is that a euphemism for what I think it might be???
Canny lass Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Not a euphemism Pilgrim, but "polishing his gear stick" might be.
pilgrim Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 well at least you found a driver that took a pride in his carriage.. er ... you should have checked if the windscreen wipers were on the inside ... its always a clue...
Canny lass Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Thanks for the tip! I'll bear that in mind.
pilgrim Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 always glad to help - from a sideways view lol
Maggie/915 Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Great that we all can agree. ( maybe only on a sideways view )
