That statement above - 'and Gallagher Park has only 14 nominations....... is not correct - should have said :-  ...and Gallagher Park has 13 other parks nominated against it, CL & me have voted. 

Voting began over a week ago Eggs, in the first few days loads of Bedlington folk have stated on social media that they have voted.

I'm torn between Ridley Park and Gallagher Park, hmm, exactly where is Gallagher Park?

It's the land where the two pits connected to each other = Behind Rothesay Terrace up to Vulcan Place - don't think I have seen a photo showing the boundary of the park so this is where I think the boundary lines are  :-

Thank's Eggy, I always subconsciously associated it with Atlee Park! I don't think I have ever visited it but it will certainly be on my list should I make it over again.

 It's just me Malcolm, haven't seen any post on any of the Facebook or community site where someone said - I voted. I guessed they would have but just wanted to MAN4B   

I voted too of course

Can't find anything on line to say which park won only know that Gallagher Park was not one of the top 4 that the winner would come from.

The top four were : -

Craigavon City Park – described as “a great mix of lake, woodland, open green space, bike trails, water sports, paths for cycling and walking”.
Roath Park – celebrated as “a place for both young and old alike” – planting and historical features are supplemented by the opportunity for “ice cream or a cup of tea in the café”.
Rouken Glen Park – UK’s Best Park winner in 2016 – makes a repeat appearance, identified as “a fantastic place for families to enjoy the outdoors”.
Stanley Park – described as “fabulous” and “the centre point of Blackpool” in its nomination.
