March 25, 20251 yr Hi, I have relatives whose burial services took place at St Cuthbert's Bedlington between the 1860s and 70s, but the records do not say where the person is buried, so can anyone help me with some questions please? 1. Is there a cutoff date between churchyard burials and Bedlington Cemetery, Netherton Lane? I know the cemetery opened in 1867, but some posts online seem to indicate the churchyard might have some later interments, hence asking. 2. Is there a plan of the churchyard's graves anywhere, as I doubt there would be any headstones? Thank you.

March 25, 20251 yr The closure order for burials at St Cuthberts was as late as 1983. There are some very old gravestones so it might be worth investigating further.
March 25, 20251 yr Author Thanks Canny Lass, I will. I'll contact St Cuthbert's and take a look at the burial records for the cemetery to see what I can find. Thanks for your help.
March 26, 20251 yr The church did a list of burials / I believe It has been opened for cremated remains . John Grundy did an article on the church yard and graves . I think it was covered in the forum Good luck
