  1. Thanks again Vic! The spragger in question, 1911, was a lad of 15. So, basically it means someone who places pieces of wood so as to stop movement, whether it be in fllos, roofs or wheels. Why don't they just say that in dictionaries!

  3. Well reader I did buy locally. Even visited their other shop not too far away. We all need to consider 'use it or loose it' . Rather nice feeling walking down the Main Street and buying something more than a paper and Don Lynn's pies. Result I do feel good but not too sure if I am out of pocket. It's only money afterall . Wish it was all done forget the dusting. Old ceiling tiles mean we still need plaster work and more effort. We cannot even claim it as a Sport Relief challenge.

  4. Here's one of the 'new improved' lights with some of the old lights in the distance for a comparison, no prizes for guessing which one works better! The old orange lights were around 40 times further away from me. The 'new' lights are like watered down 'moonshine' lol Scared to leave your house after dark? Complain to NCC now, or contact your local councilor.. Demand that your safety be restored. We've become too complacent and put up with lack of services for far too long now, together we CAN make a difference. Of course NCC will still say it's a 'success', a 'benefit to the community', 'money well spent'... and when they eventually have too many claims made against them - they'll blame 'government cuts' and say it was someone elses fault.
