If I remember correctly Fat Mo`s was an under 18s disco that was over the road from Lucy`s in what is now the surgery. Didn`t last long though I think.
The money will help pay for Synergy's proposed second 28-day broadcasting licences. The Bedlington-based station has received £1000 from the Co-op's Community Fund and £3000 from the Sir James Knott Trust of Newcastle. The organisation behind the broadcasting project is the South Northumberland Radio Group which organised the successful four weeks of live programming "“ which included contributions from numerous community groups - on air for listeners in south east Northumberland in March 2012. Its chairman Colin Heathcote said: "Receiving the two grants just before Christmas was a real tonic. Fund-raising in the current difficult financial climate is very hard with so many voluntary groups and charities chasing an ever-diminishing pot of money. "We have built a tremendous support base which is reflected by the wide variety of local and regional funders, and listeners here and overseas, who believe in what we are trying to achieve: a genuinely accessible community radio station that will provide the type of broadcasting service the area's residents deserve." He added: "We look forward to adding to our funding total in 2013 when we hope to achieve not only a second successful Ofcom-approved restricted service licence broadcast on FM and on-line, but also progress on plans for a five-year full-time licence."
Wow. Did an online repair request today at 1205: status requested urgent. Came home at 1335 to see a Warren Access cherry picker vehicle pull under street light. By the time I had parked up lights were fixed. Well done NCC Highways.

Question: Why are kind funding donations like buses? Cos you wait ages for one, then two turn up! Many, many thanks to The Sir James Knott Trust for their wonderful £3000 cheque.
Dear All As always, whenever I get some news, you are the first to hear: Thanks to a Co-operative Community Fund grant we are now £1000 closer to our next Bedlington fm broadcast. How about that for a Co-op divi? Keep an eye out for a full story in the news section. Many thanks for your continued support.
Canny Lass. Please tell him, glad to be of service. Back in the early 70s I was part of a team that shot a 16mm film on a large ship being built at Swan Hunter. I was 17 at the time. The smell I most remember was fear! Mine Thank god for HSWA 1974! Can your old man give this guy any tips?
