Last time this was printed I had them in all the Tourist information centers across the county! Not only those but all Development Trust run buildings at least had a few. (Northumberland has more Development Trusts than another other county with most managing old community buildings!) Exactly your point we need them out across the globe not really distributed next door.

I take it you haven't checked out the Development Trust web site then Canny lass. Take a look at this and note the date! I agree they are useless bits of paper until we start promoting them properly and having boxes locked up in the council cupboard……!!!!! We could (and should) have been handing them, out last Saturday!

The path will be something like 250M long with a gentle gradient so push chairs etc can use it Keith. And if I get my way with the next addition...........

Actually Canny lass… I have been working on getting a new footpath down into Attlee Park because the pedestrian access at the moment is not only stupid but downright dangerous! Having to step out into the roadway to get around the houses at the top of the bank..???? Flipping heck! Anyway the Town Council have backed the idea financially but we have just applied for grant funding to cover the cost to save ratepayers if possible. Whatever happens there will soon be a new footpath down into Attlee Park so pedestrians can access it safely. As you walk down this new path which will be cut into the bank at the side of and behind the old toilet block there will be 3 'Terrier Seats' spaced to offer respite to anyone walking up or down and the views will be fantastic too! We got the bandstand done now we just need to get people there safely then we can really start to push that area as an outside performing venue. (Especially if we can pull off a permanent electrical supply!)

The Development Trust are looking at a new project and would like to canvass everyone's opinions about what people think about when they think about Bedlington. I.E. What is the iconic image for Bedlington or better yet what are the iconic images for Bedlington.

Not sure about that one Chris. I heard the state of the building leaves a whole lot to be desired now. It will end up being cheaper to tear down and build new than refurb the existing building.

Current battery technology is a dead end Merc. As for Telsa, great innovative man so far ahead of his time.......... Like so many others lived to see his work plagiarized and copied remorselessly by lesser beings! Did he invent the AC electrical system, almost certainly, did he see any personal benefit for giving the world a staple electrical system, no.

I think Nikola was working on our future needs even back then. If his technology works, or if we can get it to work, then we have access to electrical power wherever.
