I think it has to be ecclesiastical records Maggie. I did try to access them via Newcastle University and our HLF but they changed tack at the last minute. I asked to fill in a black hole of around 500 years!

Been trying for funding to do exactly that Wonky! (It looks like a 1950's bus shelter to me!) I was told the idea was way too ambitious and we HAD to protect the historical context! Stop Press............It has been short-listed for funding to at least change the appearance a little, much more like a 'traditional' bandstand and upgrading the area surrounding it too.

Making a mental note so I could complain to my local MP about this running amok security rubbish, I did just as she had instructed. After the shrieking and hysterical remarks finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to how I should position my credit card. Nonetheless, I've been asked to shop elsewhere in the future.
