barchetta, thanks for the reply, Foxy asked his uncle who says Robert (Bob) Brown is in the front row and not related to J Brown. I'm guessing thats not your father Jim in the picture? -
I'm no car nerd but that looks like a mark II Ford Cortina in the first pic, which I think were made from the mid 60's onwards!

I have been visiting the site for a while now and finally decided to take the plunge and say hello!! I was born in London and currently live in Northamptonshire, but I do feel a strong bond with Bedlington as my dad was born here, I have relatives living in and around the area and can trace ancestors living here for more than 200 years. I have Many fond memories of travelling from London to Bedlington and visiting family as a child, but sadly don't get to return as often as I would like these days. It's great to see all the old photos on here and to see how things are changing in the present.

Great photo, any idea what year it was taken? R Brown bears a family resemblance, I would like to find out if he or J Brown are related to my family.
