August 22, 201213 yr I have been visiting the site for a while now and finally decided to take the plunge and say hello!!I was born in London and currently live in Northamptonshire, but I do feel a strong bond with Bedlington as my dad was born here, I have relatives living in and around the area and can trace ancestors living here for more than 200 years.I have Many fond memories of travelling from London to Bedlington and visiting family as a child, but sadly don't get to return as often as I would like these days. It's great to see all the old photos on here and to see how things are changing in the present.

You've moved to Northampton and that's a bit nearer Bedlington. It's the magnetic pull of the North that does it you know - makes people move away from London. Just went a bit over the top in my case.

April 25, 201313 yr Welcome to the site Broony,hope you enjoy this crowd,i certainly do!EdAdy,i'm itching to ask you if Geordie Adey was any relation to you!We worked together at the Bedlington A pit in the mid-sixties,and as for work,it was a struggle to keep up with him,cos he didn't know when to stop!!If he was related,then you need to feel very proud of the fact,believe me!
