  1. Not at the moment. There is a block beside the car parks behind the Bluebell pub, but they are closed due to disrepair. Supposedly they are going to be renovated. There is also a block in Attlee park car park, but they again are closed possibly to be renovated. We can only cross our fingers, as well as our legs!

What is the reason why they call the Barrington arms the Monkey?

    :D

I read somewhere that the landlord, during the war and rationing times, used to put a toy monkey in the window to let his regulars know that he had had a delivery of beer.

No they won't because there is no available sites on their plans. However I agree with you about the woods, in fact, all of our woods are becoming tips.

  5. Sad to hear of the death of Keith Emerson at the age of 71. Probably best known as the keyboard player in Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but I first encountered him when he played in the prog rock group The Nice when they played in the Newcastle Jazz festivals in the late sixties early seventies. A superb keyboard player, classically trained which probably explains his adaptations of several classical pieces.

  6. I've seen some other entries on History Hollow where people have described passing Milne Park going towards the Doctor Pit when taking short cuts across the rail tracks. Milne Park has also been cited as the home of Bedlington Mechanics at some point in their existence.
