I use an IPad, but it's working fine now.
-
It just won't download for me today.

I seem to be having trouble accessing the Live! feed, are there any known problems?
-
So this cropped up today.
Thoughts?
Unprintable!!!!

Interesting article in today's Journal, but wrong date for Make a Noise For Bedlington.
-
I notice that the old florist shop, next to the Northumberland Arms, is being fitted out.
-
Sorry, finger trouble.
Purdah is the period leading upto the the election in May.

Adam, Malcolm, Anybody, just a simple question. What does Purdah mean?
Below is an extract from an e-mail I revieved because I signed the pettion.
As this petition has now closed, a response will be organised and presented to a future meeting of the South East Area Committee.
Confirmation will be provided in due course about the date of the meeting to which the report will be presented, which is expected to be after Purdah in May or June. Further details will follow.

Just had Another Think about 'cleaky mats'. Could wor Jackie be talking about 'clicky mats'? I remember two sorts of mat making in my home. Proggy mats, using small 'clippings' and a 'progger', and clicky mats using long strips of cloth and a special tool that knotted the strip to the backing - usually hessian.
My mam used to make mats with cloth strips and she called them clooty mats.

I agree, the Vulcan Place junction is bad enough to get out of without idiots parked in front of the Northumberland Arms.Just watch the webcam, cars constantly park on the double lines and the crosswalk zig zag lines, often for quite a long time.
I'm really surprised at the amount of traffic going through the town, parking and traffic flow must have just evolved and was never really planned, it must cause a few headaches for schools, shops and pedestrians.

Turn off Netherton Lane towards Howard House, about 30 yards on the right. Track across field marked with small flags.

There's a whole new pack of them on the new path from Millfield to Atlee Park, and very nice they look as well.

Malcolm, the web site indicates that Hartford Hall is at the west end of the park, no mention of anything beyond, and that none of the 3 car parks are at Plessey. I still think that Plessey Country Park is an entirely different amenity.
-
I accept that, but why is the listing: Plessey Country Park? That implies the parkland which is accessed from Hartford Road / Hartford Bridge. I wouldn't be impressed with the current walk down to Humford Mill from 20 Acres.
-
The country park listed is at Plessey, Hartford Bridge, not the one going down to Humford Mill

Just as well that they didn't go into Bedlington Country Park. It used to be a lovely area, now only the fly tippers and weeds thrive.

After all of the money spent to renovate the shop fronts, in Bedlington, it's disappointing to see a new occupant, relocated florist, painting over the heritage paintwork with white paint, surely this shouldn't be allowed with the conservation area.

Very good news, but is there something wrong with the site clock. Adam's message was posted at 7.06pm, according to the clock, but I read it at 18:56 or 6.56 pm
