    Apple Ipad

Anyone got one, wanting one, thoughts about one? Good article from Stephen Fry on it I would definitely have one, I am no fan boy as there is no chance that i can afford the majority of apple products but wouldn't say no to one that is for sure. /discuss
  2. Cramlington is the closest one but you have to have done it before really as the instruction isn't up to much. There is Newburn leisure centre which has a 40ft wall and you can learn the ropes so that you can belay yourself and the church in Byker has just been converted into a climbing wall too....
  3. When is this gonna be fixed? Was gonna list a cooker..

  6. Funny that you mention this. was heading up to cresswell on Friday with the dergs and to the right of the sun was a really bright spectrum coloured light really intense at one end and and really dark at the other. It wasn't a rainbow and looked really strange!!! Got pics of it on the cordless but got no way of transferring them to the computer at the minute!!

    3D Tv's

Personally I think it is a bit of a gimmick. Get one if you and your family/mates all want to look like madness watching a film over the weekend. But then again I don't watch enough TV to justify it anyway. Buy an LCD and spend what you saved on a decent surround sound speaker system.
  8. Stupid thing is that my girlfriend works as a home carer and if she were to wear a cross around her neck (which she wouldn't) she would be advised by management to take it off in case of causing offence to anyone. She wears an 'OM' pendant around her neck and not a thing is said. I am not a religious person and I don't believe in god but if people want to express their beliefs and religion in whatever shape or form then they should be entitled to do so. I am not a christian but I think it is scandolous that nurses etc are made to remove crosses so they don't offend someone. They have every right to wear Burka's (which isn't even part of the religion). Same as all of the schools in Northumberland being changed into CofE schools. We did not send the bairn to a religious school as we are not religious yet the church have taken it upon themselves to move into (what I would class) as an under priviledged area changing everything to be emblazoned with crosses and preaching about God. Oh but they offered a free school uniform first term so everyone would overlook the fact that they were brainwashing everyone!! The bairn come home and told me that God made rainbows as a sign that there would be no more flooding, to which I told him that next time a teacher tells him that he has to reply with "Rainbows are a result of the refraction of light through water droplets in the air". Had a massive long discussion with the bairn as he was getting upset that Jesus died for us. We told him that what the school is teaching him are just stories and might not be true. I personally think that religion has a lot to answer for and its all a load of rubbish. Believe what you like im turning buddhist and moving into the hills!!!
  9. None from the list actually annoy me too much, what really annoys me though is people who drive at 40mph in a 30mph and then drive at 40mph in a 60 zone. If you are going to break the speed limit at least do it consistently. Im quite a patient driver and other people driving like tools doesn't bother me too much....well when I am in the car. However when I get into the van :-p thats another story ha
  10. I was just having a conversation with the girly about this subject last night whilst out walking the dogs. We live in Ashington near Hirst Park and the amount of broken glass lying around the floors really pees me off to say the least. The majority of young peoples attitudes today is a sheer lack of respect for other people, authority and there own family. I would not have dreamed of behaving the way some kids do these days. Was in hirst park t'other day with the dogs and the bairn and there was a lass approximately 9 years of age f'ing and blinding at one of her mates. I couldn't resist myself and told her to stop swearing, there was no need for it and that she should have more respect for other users of the park. Due to the location we don't dare to let the barin out and play so he is confined to the yard or the house which is a nightmare for someone with so much energy and with the summer coming up. When I was younger, every second of light that we had during the day, after school and in the summer holidays we spent playing football on the field or eating cones of chips (which if you remember correctly were 45p, the collection of vinegar in the bottom of the polystyrene cone was always drinkable too ). Now the younger ones just want to drink !*!@# cheap wine, play !*!@# music on their phones and terrorise people for no other reason that sheer arrogance. I don't blame the kids either, they have been brought up with a lack of respect for other people and in my local community its generally the gene pool that they are coming from which is causing them to behave the way they do. I was outside the shop last night and heard a mother telling her 6ish year old kid that she would "shove pizza in her face if she didn't shut up". I mean come on, use or it least attempt to kick start some brain cells and do something for the community instead of popping out more sprogs. /rant

  20. Its the smell in the summer that is the worst thing about the landfill site, when there is a slight wind it drifts over the surrounding villages carrying with it a rather revolting rotten egg smell. I do believe there is also plans to extend the landfill site at Ellington
