  1. Until that smelly old bar has to close due to lack of customers.
  2. Hmmmm, the blue bell, which end?
  3. Beans are next Pete.
  4. 60p / litre is ok but the ordering system doesn't work, how much do they charge for delivery on this Greek fuel.
  5. I'd bet that the bus drivers would love to plough into the thoughtless b*****s who park in the bus bay.
  6. Thunderbirds indeed, this technology has been in use for around 40 years, even the Aussies are having a look.
  7. Where are these wrinkles.
  8. That's always possible but I see the future of coal like this.
  9. A big word for more evangelist crap.
  10. and spread verruca's into the nether regions, ouch!

  12. Yes I had a quick look around today, the house is just about up to the standards of the mid 1990s, electric shower and gas central heating are so yesterday, and I couldn't believe how old fashioned the taps and fittings are in the kitchen and bathroom.
  13. There were also some who preferred toes down. Who's yo' daddy?

  19. I'm also sitting on the fence Pete, I worked for many years on many types of generators, here's another view.
  20. In most UK power stations there are four generators rated at between 500-660mw, how many wind generators do you think it will take to replace even one of these machines? There's a lot of green wind out there but they haven't done the sums. Nuclear and/or fossil fuel will be necessary for many years to come. http://www.bwea.com/edu/calcs.html
  21. I live in a council property, a very small one bedroomed bungalow with an ancient heating system. My heating costs are remarkably higher than the 2800 sq. ft. house I occupied in a much colder region in Canada. Am I to suffer extra costs on a property I do not own?
  22. The school, I believe stood on the site of what is now Binks(?) haulage, although there seem to be other operations within the buildings. Many of the 'posh' houses being built at Red Row are on the land previously occupied by Taits scrapyard. The others are on the site used by Thorntons, who have had workshops on both sides of the road.
