The only reason denzel has a take-away is only because he's normally plodding home from the black bull so take-away seems to be the best option for him. and denzil dont dis verdi's i always enjoy my meal I have there!!!!

The Ridge Farm certainly aint on my list anymore to eat at, had a few bad experiences in there when dining. Me and a few friends were at The Waterloo in Blyth for sun dinner a few weeks back and ive got to say it was lovely, didnt expect it to be but was very impressed. Was at verdi's tonight for a meal and that was lovely too but I think that everyone has kinda forgotten that verdi's is there now as he seems to be very quiet at the minute. Anyone have any suggestions as to where is nice to dine?

Pick on another pub like the North, for their very very expensive prices ect, they are freehouse and rob everyone of their pennies and your picking on my pub!!(its not mine but i work there so im allowed to call it mine)

thanks denzil but they were taking the mick outta me the other night because i decided it was wise to try and save some money. i got a 1.5L vodka btl and started putting 5ps into it (saving for my 21st at Amsterdam).so of course when I told them all they thought they'd take the **ss and ask everyone who came to the bar for a drink if they had in 5p's that theyw ould donate for me to put into my btl. hence the joke about the 5p's. How ya keeping anyway Denzil, aint seen ya in the tavern for months. we've got peter donegans band on on fri nite, about 9pm, hes a tribute band to his dad lonnie (my old mans a dustman). would be nice if you lot popped in on your way up to the North or Black Bull!!!

Harry the Rabbit is fine, he often pops into the tavern when hes passing, his son danny got married last weekend. I shall tell him the next time I see him that u were asking after him

Yeah I know Scott (owner of ICHIBAN) quite well and I told him lastnight that he was on here, he seemed very proud when I told him, it is definitely nice to see locl clubs helping out a worthy cause, well done again to all who participated

The Red Lion has never been the same since we all left has it Denzil? Instead now u have the lovely Sandra from Black Bull to try your chat up lines on . I think that the owner still needs to pull his fonger out and change the image/decor of the pub and then maybe the food will take off in there but he just aint arsed about it and keeps on sending hillbilly's in whi know nowt about the place. Just had to add this topic in about our new bins and seats with the lovely bedlington terrier on them. Whats going on with the council, do they not understand that they need to do alot more than re-design a few bins and seats to bring people back into bedlington. Does anyone know owt about the football club? I heard it got burnt down and there was a few suspicions as to who it was, but whoever it was they had already started planning it and then must of thought ah the waters gone off, that means they cant put the fire out. I know there has been alot of up raw about the football club and stuff but at the end of the day its part of 'our' town and the place wouldnt be the same without the football club, even though I have no interest in it what so ever but its been there for so long now.

I actually used to work there before the current owner took over, and when he first took over i used to drink in there everyday. I am not picking on him because he has a skin complaint im simply saying would you want someone with skin flaking off to be cooking your food?I dont mean it to sound horrible but it is unhygienic. I saw heinky(i dunno if thats how ya spell it) on the bus the other day, I was on my way to a horse show at gosforth, he was going out on ur usual sunday afternoon session, saw Tom Doyle as well, whenever I see him he's always drunk walking up the street with a pizza on a saturday night.

Hi all!! Would just like to say, the red lion has never been the same since I left at beginning of last year, yes Denzil that was when I had lovely customers like you lot in and I do miss you all very much.might catch ya in The Sun Inn one day as i regularly visit the rowdy lot in there.The Red Lion will never take off, its horrible and very unhygienic.The chef aint even qualified, apparently ive heard hes got a skin problem so god knows what you are gonna get in your food. Everyone should come to THE MARKET TAVERN! when we start serving food, we have the head chef from the three horse shoes coming across and of course i'll be serving the meals, what more could you ask for. Whilst I have this opportunity I would like to tell evryone about the BEBSIDE INN, my friend has just took over and she now has karaoke every friday, live rock bands every saturday and coming soon is a quiz on a sunday. im doing the odd shift over there just heping out at the moment.would be nice to hear that a few of u lot have popped over seen as about 10 of us slaved day and night to clean, re-decorate and generally tidy the place up. Hope to see some of you over there one night. well enough of my chatter its time for bed, thanks for taking the time to hear me ramble on yet again, Emma x

Jst thought i'd introduce myself back on to the forum seen as i aint bin round here for a few weeks, hope everyones enjoyin life and the warm weather!!I certainly am, ive managed to get myself a bit of a suntan from doing f.all apart from working at weekends,although I am back at college in september. Dont know which paint you on about, the inside is being painted and then we have the rest of the inside to make a start on but cant until the brewery have finished their jobs, part refurb is happening within the next few months and by the way its THE MARKET TAVERN!! ive got a website too www.market-tavern.piczo.com, feel free to admire the work ive put into it, would appreciate comments but nice ones of course, dont forget live entertainment now on every friday starts at 9pm, please spread the word as the more customers i bring in the more shifts i get behind the bar and im canny skint at the minute like!! yeah they have, it was £4.50 for half an hour, what a rip off!!!wasnt gona go on them anyway coz my mates boyfriend would have pushed me in the river so thought it was bestt to stay onshore ha ha ha
