Breaking news. A coach carrying playing staff was attacked by gunmen today at the African Nations Cup. Coach driver was shot and killed and four other people on the coach have been injured. More later.

This throws into question the world cup next year. Should it still go ahead? Will clubs that have invested millions of pounds on players allow these players to travel if their safety is in question? What would happen if this had happened in England? Your thoughts please.

Of course the World Cup should go ahead. You can`t wrap folk up in cotton wool..things happen. That`s life.

If it had happened in England it would be a different story. Not only would the World Cup be finished with, football would be finished too, the prized footballer`s have to use buse`s you know, they might get attacked by gunmen too! (health and safety)

Hello Merlin, betting shop na I would probably lose my shirt. That was the second trophy for December as I got one for Leauge 2 and promotion to leauge 1, get in.

All I can say is thanks to the council, they actually listened to our requests, I rang the council yesterday and asked for the roads on our estate to be ploughed because we couldn't get out of the estate properly, well they came out today and did it, so well done....also seeing you on the main street gritting footpaths and clearing snow makes us think you are actually listening to the residents, well done.

I was wondering the same thing. I`ve been searching Google for info but couldn`t find anything.

Here`s another photo from the Miner`s Picnic. It looks like the 70`s sometime judging by the haircuts

I`m pretty sure i recognise a couple of faces but can`t remember the names, maybe someone on here can fill some names in.

Also, we might guess the year as there`s Laws store behind them. What year did that change names, anybody know?

Have you thought about adding a donations bit to the site? Any money donated would be towards what the people of Bedlington want, so this site is the ideal place to start.

I`m not sure about raising thousands for the radio, but i suppose that all depends on how many people donate and how much money they donate Any donations, however small, will help. It all adds up.

We might be able to afford some xmas lights for next year too, paid for by the people of Bedlington.

Take matters into our own hands without relying on the council.

Theres a lot of people that I know that simply would not touch it myself included. My two daughters use it and one of my sons they use it to talk to there friends who live in the same street, dont make sense to me.

I like Facebook, i`ve got back in touch with folk on there that i haven`t seen in years. I`ve also met a lot of people from all around the world who i now consider friends.

It`s also a great way to advertise places like this, you can also advertise your listings on that horrid auction site..the list is endless if you use it properly.
