Are there any former members of the Air Training Corps squadron still around that had at one time a headquarters at Hollymount?

My brother David was in the ATC in guide Post, he really enjoyed it

Belated Happy Birthday Micky.

As Vic has said the ATC was in Ashington.

If your brother was in a cadet thing in Guide Post it would probably have been the Army Cadets. As I was in the late sixties early, seventies.

The leader was John Quinn (Capt.)

I had to quit when my hair got too long to hide under my beret. If only I still had that problem!

Bedies.

The home of the Army Cadets is on Morpeth Road estate. Still going I believe.

Behind & a little left of the war memorial. Directly opposite the Morpeth Road garage. Google map Queens Head Guide Post & trundle up the road a bit. It`s the white roofed hut on the right.

In my day it was very popular with the cadets Dads: the bar was open before 12 on a Sunday morning!
