HOUSES in two North East postcodes are among the least likely to be burgled in the country, new figures show.

MoneySupermarket.com analysed 3.49m applications for home insurance quotes made between December 2011 and the end of November 2012, looking at the number of people who had made a claim for burglary in the past two years.

The NE7 area – High Heaton and Benton, in Newcastle – was the 15th least likely in Britain to be burgled, with NE22 – Bedlington, in Northumberland – the 19th.
