keith lockey Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 I know this doesn't concern Bedlington but I'm sure you'l'l forgive me.I had to go to Morpeth today and popped into an upstairs tea room called Curiosly Wicked. It is in the Arcade and the staff are dressed up in Victorian garb. When I went to pay the bill the young lady in a white smock thanked me and curtseyed.Aw, isn't that nice. I recommend it.
keith lockey Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 Your not Prince Phillip Keith, are you?I wouldn't mind being a penny behind him in my bank account, but no, I ain't Phil the Greek.
Malcolm Robinson Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 You sure Lockey, same dress sense............just saying!

Malcolm Robinson Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 He must have said he was from Bedlington and the Morpeth gadgies and morts just showed due civility if not decorum.

keith lockey Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) I fancy myself as a Hudson, actually - NO NOT ROCK HUDSON!I could quite easily fit in with the toffs upstairs and the chambermaids downstairs, though I'd probably turn into lady Chatterley's lover. Now where's the Gentleman's relish.PS - I said it was Victorian - it is Edwardian, my time machine lost a decade or two when the clocks went forward. Edited July 9, 2013 by keith lockey
