Whats dooing with the Ridge Farm has Wetherspoons bought it or what i heard that it may be demolished

The Wetherspoon rumours have been strenuously denied by the management in the Lion, and it would make little sense to have two establishments so close together in a small town. I reckon it will be demolished for housing.

It is still listed as to let so looks like the owners are still waiting for someone to rent it off them, i hope it does not get turned into housing.

In a way I agree, but when you live in what is essentially a commuter town this is what happens. Furthermore, from experience I found the rents on the Front Street prohibitive.

The problem is as I have said time and time again is greedy landlords if they asked for less rent it may help that little bit.

At least Ed is pledging to help small businesses if he wins in eighteen months time. Perhaps some 'clear water' is beginning to emerge between Labour and the vile Tories. Over to you GGG ....
