webtrekker Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 I thought I'd watch the Christmas lights going on tonight on the webcam but it's failing to load. Anyone know if it will be on later? Thanks.
Pete Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Same problem here, I was hoping to watch it but feeds dead.
Vic Patterson Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 What time are the lights being turned on? I can't find any adds or references for the event, are there other things planned for the same time?
Pete Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Hi Vic, theres a poster in the announcment section, it says switch on 5.45

ex Bedlingtonian Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 Sorry, it's going to be mid week before it can be fixed. You can't get the labour these days! Seems to be working now.
webtrekker Posted December 6, 2015 Author Report Posted December 6, 2015 Great stuff! Just goinna wait until it gets dark now and have a look at the Christmas tree and lights.
Vic Patterson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 On the web cam it would appear the tree is only lit half way up, then a thin line going up to a larger lit object, is it a feature or was the ladder just too short? Looks to be lots of other Xmas lights!

Looks to be lots of other Xmas lights! Electrician required Vic !
Malcolm Robinson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 TBF...............the tree and lights are good this year but we have just been through the tail end of a hurrican and 1000's of homes and businesses in the county are submerged. The lights on our Xmas tree will be 'fixed' ASAP bearing in mind the rest of the workload the lads have on at the moment. For once I am not going overboard about it...
webtrekker Posted December 8, 2015 Author Report Posted December 8, 2015 I saw the tree when it was fully lit and it is indeed a sight to behold. Well done! I'm sure 'normal' service' will be resumed as soon as possible. 1
Vic Patterson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Electrician required Vic !An electrician Foxy! got my roll of tape, pliers and screwdriver, I'll be over on the next scheduled dog sled. Pleased it wasn't cut backs!

Your photo shows it was beautiful tree and I'm sure it will be restored to be a tree to be proud of. What other damage was there in the area? we only only saw the flood damage around the Tyne valley!
John Fox (foxy) Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 One of our councillors claims to be an electrician Vic but we're not sure if he's Positive or Negative so we'll wait until you arrive!!
Malcolm Robinson Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Normal service resumed!!!!!! And there's nowt positive about the one your talking about Foxy!!!!!
