The person that did this Excel sheet has made a mistake with in the phrase - 'Total correct n out of 40'.

Nearly there - Total correct 40 out of 40 - with one left to answer.

I don't think the clue for No 39 is very good. It needs a better clue, like - American Sweet Tooth cleaner
