Alan Edgar (Eggy1948) Posted Tuesday at 10:56 Report Posted Tuesday at 10:56 (edited) @Kev Short - I have one but not ready to pass it on yet. All UK online dealers I can see on-line - Amazon - Barter Books - AbeBooks etc. etc. etc. out of stock. If you want any info from it I would scan some pages for you but not ready to scan all 46 pages - yet Edited Tuesday at 10:58 by Alan Edgar (Eggy1948) 1
Kev Short Posted yesterday at 15:48 Author Report Posted yesterday at 15:48 (edited) Hi Alan thank you for the offer I appreciate it. I'm currently researching the ironworks with a view to building a 3d digital model, but I'm struggling to find an image/plan drawing of the site buildings/layout etc. I have some renders I have done from images I've found online, but I'm still unsure of materials used i.e brick/stone roofing slate tiles. I have attached a couple of images of how I think it might have looked so if anyone has anything they can add It would be appreciated. Thanks Edited yesterday at 16:00 by Kev Short 1
Alan Edgar (Eggy1948) Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago (edited) @Kev Short never seen any plans for the construction of the buildings . We played in the area of the houses in your second photo in the late 1950's and early 1960's but can't recall anything about them. A you have been searching/Googling online I would assume you have accessed all the info and photos that anyone else in this group has had access to. Graces Guide gies a lot of info on the Iron Works but no plans ;- https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Bedlington_Ironworks On the group https://communities.northumberland.gov.uk/ under Bedlington/Plans there a couple of documents refering to the iron Works and one might help you with the layouut of area adjoing the iron Works but nothing in the detail and info you are looking for.
