  5. I think we can do that now some people have some established reputation. The main issue is the people who like to give negative rep are usually more active than those giving praise. The only way to stop this would be to maybe limit the number of negative reps per day? and block/warn anybody that abuses it? I'll bring it back as a trial run.
  6. I think there's a lot of truth in that but we've let them get that way.
  7. It is encouraging that we at least now seem to be talking with each other in reasonable numbers.
  8. 2. Who's Online See who's online and what they're currently reading.
  9. Have to agree. Too much mud slinging to wade through to get to any substance. Not that there is any.
  10. I know you are a fan of Gandhi (http://www.bedlingto...irthday-gandhi/) maybe he can convince you. "when people lead, governments will follow." - Monsta's Mate

  12. http://www.bedlingto...ndar/1/event-60 West Bedlington Town Council meeting tomorrow night. There is a VERY brief questions and answers session at the beginning of the meeting so come prepared. Don't waste your question with "When is something going to happen?" be specific tell them what you DO want.
  13. You are hereby requested to attend a meeting of WEST BEDLINGTON TOWN COUNCIL to be held at Bedlington Salvation Army Hall, Hartford Road West Bedlington on Thursday 11 March at 6 pm Read the agenda.
  14. I actually sent an email in connection with the gates this morning. That is very unfortunate timing. I hope the recipient doesn't think the latest news is was what prompted me to email.
  15. What about the new car registration tax as well? Introduce a "scrappage scheme" that manufacturers/dealers just absorb then slap on a "new car registration tax" while people are blinkered by it.
  16. I think you've hit the nail on the head the Symptoms. I think it's more of the complacency we've been talking about. The town's residents seem to be very dejected at the moment. Fortunately there does seem to be a glimmer of hope with a few people starting to make noises, the original poster and some of the newer members included.
  17. I've just finished installing the new classifieds section. This should be a huge improvement over the previous software and adverts are now more closely integrated with users accounts. Unfortunately some of the ads from the old system will not be available as I couldn't work out who some of them belonged to. If your ad is no longer appearing send me a pm and I'll move it over for you. Don't forget to post pictures with your ads. Pictures have been proven to vastly improve the chances of items selling.
  18. On Thursday 25th March at 6.30 pm at Bedlington Community Centre a public presentation will be made by the specialist company (Knight Kavanagh & Page) into the findings of their study. ALL ARE WELCOME.
