  1. What a numbskull! I've got it and it's one of my faves! It's Kate's The Kick Inside!
  2. The third is, of course, Eagles Hotel California. (not no 'The'). Is the second one 'I've Got a Pet Iguana' by Iggy Iguana and the Iguana Brothers?
  3. I'm not sure what the Grapes previous name was; The Blue Bell is further up the road.
  4. This is clearly in the wrong section! I don't think so, the Blue Bell is further up the street.
  5. Iguanas?
  6. FANTASTIC! I CAN'T WAIT!
  7. Ok, if it's not that, have they all done songs named after books?
  8. is that a no, then, keith?
  9. Ok,I think I might have it - Monro sang Stardust, Bowie sand about Ziggy Stardust, and I think the connection is stardust, but apart from being a Bowie fan I can find no connection with Kate, and Dolly's equally a mystery...... STARDUST
  10. Ok, here's a lame attempt: Parton/Rogers, Bush and Monroe have all recorded songs with 'stream' or 'river' in the title, but has Bowie? He's done about two billion tunes so I reckon its rivers/streams/waterways/God Know What. Iguanas?
  11. Abstract thinking, but is it something to do with red shoes?
  12. Keith, that's a lot of songs to concentrate on! I demand a clue, or the kitty gets it (death by iguana......)
  13. Aside from the obvious iguana connection, have they all recorded christmas songs?
  14. He did, she was the voice in his mind when he wrote it. A pity her breasts are the focal point, she has an amazing voice (her - original - version of 'I Will Always Love You' knocks spots off Whitney Houston's.) Anyway, do they all have pet iguanas?
  15. At first glance I thought Matt Munro was Tony Blackburn. Anyway, I think this might have something to do with duets because, as a great Peter Gabriel fan, I know he wanted Dolly Parton to duet on 'Don't Give Up', but she turned it down and Kate Bush did it. Bowie has collaborated with quite a few people, and I reckon Monro has too, and also Kenny Rogers and Matt Monro both worked with George Martin. I don't think Bowie or the lovely Miss Bush ever did.
  16. One of my faves Malc, a criminally under-rated show...Babylon 5.....
  17. I predict they all kept pet iguanas.
  18. mmm, interesting indeed (strokes beard).......
  19. I'm just thinking of it's possible uses: 'here darlin, come back to mine and give us a hand to move the furniture....' nudge, nudge......
  20. Is that a euphemism?
  21. malcolm, despite those I still have no idea! Have they all played characters who were known by a number?
  22. This one has me beaten.
  23. Monsters from the Id! Great film, also notable for having the first completely electronic soundtrack. ( and a sexy chick.)
  24. No problem; do you think they enjoy real ale?
  25. Keith, the effort you put into devising the prizes surely exceeds that you put into the actual competition.......I'm sorry not to have won this one, I would have enjoyed the experience.
