I don't believe this photo is 1978, or anywhere near. I moved to Bedlington in 1976 and I don't remember ever seeing the pit heap in the background like that. Can anyone comment on the age of the cars in the picture. I am pretty sure the houses this side of the coffin chapel weren't there in 1976 either.
