I cant understand how permission to fell the giant weeping willow was ever allowed, but most of all I can not believe how planning was ever granted to build such a monstrosity in a historic town like Bedlington, Carbuncles and landscapes come to mind.

I very rarely use cash dispensers but I left the house early yesterday 5.30am to go to work and needed some money to give to a collection so I thought I would use the cash-point at the spar in Bedlington station but found it out of action and have been told it no longer in use due to attempts to drill it open, I thought I would go up to the front street and use one of the machines but soon realised that the machine at old Barclays bank was gone as was the one at Tescos and the same for the one at old HSBC I headed for the TSB machine but it was not working (probably empty). Its hard to believe we had so many cash-points on the street but are now left with one very overworked ATM.

I seen the sign on the old school and also noticed a new to let sign this morning on the old market place coop store.. Also two new bus stops on the old pit road (cant remember or spell what its German name now is ). And the old day centre that was to be demolished to build a store has had workmen this week boarding up all the doors and windows so it does not look like any building is going to start in the next few weeks .

I can remember when we had no sockets and used to pug everything in to the light socket, I can remember my Grandmother ironing with the iron plugged in to the light and I can remember when she bought the houses first hoover (vacuum cleaner) that was also ran from the light socket. I am looking to have my kitchen worktops replaced and some new tiles, oven hob etc, much to my surprise I see a new shop opposite vicarage terrace that is offering just such services. Its called Tip Top home improvements, I looked in today the lights were on but the door was locked, I will try and call again tomorrow. Has anyone used them yet or have any information about them, or any other local firm that provides such services.
