I am absolutely stunned. I didn't know Ian personally but respect his endeavour to succeed in his chosen sport. I know of one member here who will be particularly upset by this very sad news.
I'm particularly upset merc, I spoke to Ian and Carl moments before the first race and was honoured to have them pose for photographs which I was looking forward to posting on this website and facebook, I'm a friend of the family so in time I will seek permission and hopetfully they will be proud to share them on here.

Happy birthday from me too, Adam. Where are you hiding yourself these days?
Wee Willie Winkie rins through the toon,
Up stairs an' doon stairs in his nicht-gown,
Tirlin' at the window, crying at the lock,
"Are the weans in their bed, for it's now ten o'clock?"

It's now 3 oclock in the afternoon so hope I'm not too early and your out of bed to open your cards Happy Birthday!!!

This whole debate - the Remain or Leave thing - is the worst example of media overkill I can remember. It's got to the point now where I've actually lost interest. I turn on the TV news each morning and it's the same thing, every day. I've heard it all, thanks. Yesterday, I read my paper in the pub opposite a mate doing the same, and we each did the same thing, and skipped all the pages about the EU subject. We've read it all, it's all that's been written about for weeks. If we haven't made our minds up by now, having been force fed both sides of the argument for an eternity, we're a lost cause. I know what I'm voting, and I'm sure others do, too. It's boring now, and if others are displaying the same level of apathy as I am, it's the fault of the media having nothing else to talk about.
Spot on Merc, I knew how I was voting before the referendum date was announced.

Canny lass, have you not noticed the deliberate mistake with numbers 23 and 24 ? I've just noticed it

I have pictures of the buildings you talk about in the gallery, on this website. The picture above was "taken" from there 3 years ago and has since been used for financial gain, hence the watermarks on all images in the album.

Unless it has been moved overnight, it is still lying just inside the perimeter fence waiting for an accident to happen. I think the person who told us on social media that it was in the Church and then at the Whitley had dreamt it up.

I can see my cousin Sandra Short on there.

Looks like a man with a white stick is arranging the next refurbishment of the market place.

Of course, it's far easier to sit in the comfort of your own home and type stuff on a computer than it is to actually get out and do something.
Which sums up a recent photoshoot at the tree !

I'm looking forward to see how many turn up at this meeting. Perhaps we'll see how passionate people are about the town, they're making a lot of noise on social media sites.

I'm a distant relative and saw Paul last night but I'm not in contact with him, If I see him again I could pass info you want to give onto him. Just pm me if you wish to do so.

Spot on Brian, what boils my pee is why does he think he knows better than me, why should he tell me which way to vote, and to round off a good week he's been proved a Liar and I haven't.
