  1. I put in Wind Turbine Bedlington and it came up with no results. I will flag it up to people I know
  2. Ok Brett point taken but why have some got block under the name and others not!
  3. Thanks old chip! Lowering the tone again why do some folk on personal messenger have a red 'block' under their name and others do not! If it says block, does that mean they have blocked you or by pressing block are you blocking them! The rules of golf seem much easier. Does Wilf ever have problems with the rules of the game.
  4. Basically I should say sorry to anyone who felt I was not a kindred spirit with a shared history. Certainly will not be contacting again.
  5. Very interesting, thank you. I now know how to block. More interesting is the why! Including the why bother.
  6. I wonder if it is 'Say no to women on the site'
  7. Now for the record Brett, how do you block people. Maybe others would like to know. Is it just disabling the messenger, or is there an individual block for just the odd person you would like to eliminate. I hasten to add that I have not and do not intend to block anyone.
  8. Not sure how to block anyone and had not thought too. Seems certain individuals have blocked me and I am seriously wondering what I have done. Really not that important but it does leave you wondering!
  9. Why and how? Personal messenger surely is for things you do not want published. We are all publishing on the site. Even in Members only.
  10. What about the Golf clubs Eggy! My spin on hoarding is that everyone has a secret stash! We all hoard some bloody odd things. Maybe another topic.
  11. Must be the same family. Interesting to be a pilot in World War 1
  12. Women's hour today was very good and covered the topic well.
  13. In 1911 they commemorated the Jubilee 1861 to 1911. The book I have has some interesting pictures of employees and committee members. Officers of the Society were: John Davison president John Davison Tindal secretary John Hudson manager Benjamin and Rubert Tetlow auditors The committee were: John Caine William Fleming Robert Hay James Morris Robert Lee Richard Gray George Marley John W Wood Thomas Charlton James Wood Andrew Darling I will attempt to photo some of the pages in the hope odd individuals are interested or maybe some will see familiar faces.
  14. This one is interesting and another name I have not heard in Bedlington. Alfred Pick died 1918 flying in Kent
  15. The Unthanks sing about The Testimony of Patience Kershaw.
  16. True but then Northumbria was the place to be. Really nothing has changed except the boundaries. More and more holiday makers. Beadnell the other day was very good for people watching and there were not many with Northumbrian accents. Maybe the accent is dying.
  17. A very interesting video. Even a reference to the Napoleonic Wars.
  18. Remember we were part of Durham for many years.
  19. George Brown Churchwarden for 30 years A good name for a future King born a few days ago
  20. We knew how to live! Forget War Hammer and Costa Lotta!
