Me neither - an old school mate got in touch and said he had our final year class photo, 1965. Unfortunately he couldn't get a decent image (he hasn't a scanner) and you can't make out anyone, it's so blurred . He has had a few attempts at taking a photo of the photo but all blurred .

Can't recall a Mario, it must have been after I moved away, 1969. In the sixties the old man, the owner, was Joe Moscadinii and his son was Bernard. Bernard dividing his time between the cafe and the snooker hall - Annie & Norman (from South Row I think) were in the snooker hall full time.

Baccis used to have a shop at bedlington Station, but well before my time. The cafe at the Station, that we (Bedlington Station people) grew up with in the 60s was Moscardiniis - never heard the name 'Mario's' used for Moscardiniis, or Baccis. Would Mario's just be the 'Top-End' lads name for Mosciis ?

I think the Oscars 'Best Picture' mix up is one of the best stories to come out of any awards ceremony - something I never watch. Price Waterhouse Cooper must have had someone 'moonlighting' on their books to cock that up! I'll stick to singing, and dancing, in the rain 3G. But I could be tempted to to go Tra La La La, Lala La La , One banana, Two Bannan, Three Banana four......................... Instead of The Oscars they could rename it The Banana Splits and keep on slipping up.

Here's an older photo c1928. This was posted on the Bygone Bedlington site by Tracey Temple with the comment :- 'My Aunty is trying to remember some of the children in this photo, taken approximately 1928/29 at the Infant school that was opposite St Cuthberts. if anyone can fill in any gaps for her she will be very happy! She is coming up to 95, to give an indication of the age the kids will be now.' Tracey asked me to post the photo here to see if anyone in the photo can be identified, naturally as a distant relative to the members on here.

Don't think so CL - I would say that's his son at the Market Place club, 1974. For eating & drinking of various luxury goods, around 1956, at The Howard Arms the then Guiness World Record holder is said to have been 47. But I could be totally wrong.
