  1. I'm not sure if it was official, but the Army Cadets used to come from Blyth, Cramlington and Morpeth to the Bedlington cadet hut, so we could go on excersise in the planters. I'm not sure how relevant that is, perhaps as a "they did it so can we?". Just throwing ideas into the mix, no matter how small. Lets see if we can get the ball rolling on this one, I know ASDA has a small pot of funds to help the local community as part of its "we're listening" policy, perhaps Tesco do too, and could assist a little financially?? If we can get an outline proposal, i'm willing to talk to the powers that be at ASDA.
  2. There's hell on at work about it. You would think the colleagues would find out before the media, i'm still chatting to colleagues on FaceBook that still have no idea! And they say ASDA has good communication!
  3. I'd definitely go to an indoor rock climbing centre, is there one nearby to 'have a go'? I know there is a paintballing place nearby, but competition has to be a good thing!
  4. Monsta! Thats BRILLIANT!
  5. The above is quoted from a post created ages ago in site announcments, but the picture seems to be broken. I assume this was a picture of the email address to fool the spammers. Is this still an option? or do you have all the advertisers you need on board now? I tried PM'ing Fourgee, but it seems his inbox is either full, or i'm on block Advice please!
  6. Yeah, i see your point re: litter. As for the fat content, it cant be as bad as a curry or pizza surely! Something that is good for the town is variety. Too many Hairdressers, Pizza shops, Lawyers etc, is obviously bad, but healthy competition is good. I don't know, i'm on the fence on this now, but i do wish something would come to the town, even if it was just a swimming pool!
  7. I dont understand why a McDonnalds-type place would be considered bad for the town. Have you any real reasons why you think this? or is it just your general feeling? I agree McDonnalds as an individual company would be a bad idea, as they are set up in all of the surrounding towns, but surely Burger King or something would be interested?? Would they, in your opinion, still be a bad idea for the town?
  8. Is there a problem with the classifieds? I got a page saying only the words "could not locate" when i clicked the "add an item" button. the url displayed is http://www.bedlington.co.uk/community/index.php?app=classifieds&module=listing Browser= Firefox v3.6.3 Windows XP sp3
  9. cant remember one with green stripes, but there's a pic on here of the white one with either orange or red stripes?
  10. That picture was for section 3, the late slot. the picture that caused the commotion today was this one: And this one: Anyone know the location of that blue doorway?
  11. Bedlington was taken by storm earlier today, when rumour spread about the presence of The Real Renegade! All was quiet at around 2PM, then suddenly the area around Tesco, BestBite and the bandstand was awash with cars and people, all looking for the mystery man. Clues pointed to the Bandstand, BestBite, a Blue door, The drains outside the post office, then the renegade singing the Robin Hood theme. Earlier clues were worked out to be an anagram of Plessey woods. Did anyone see it? and more importantly... did you get involved??
  12. Lol, good stuff! If you want to add any more reply's to that first picture, just start the post like this: Now, for #2: #2 Damn Budget Cuts!
  13. Gawd these foreign Dancefloors take some getting used too!
  14. Great, that clears it up. Cheese
  15. Ok, some of us have done this before, but for those that have not, it works like this: I (Or someone else if they have one) Will post a picture every few days. If you can come up with a good caption, post it! Normal forum rules apply, so please be discreet. I'm sure we will still get the jist if your clever enough with the wording. PLEASE DONT QUOTE THE POST! The picture repeating gets annoying! I'll start:
  16. I dont get it, do we just say the first thing that springs to mind, and accompany a picture if we want?

    Guess Where

All the clues i've came up with would give it away straight away. An obscure clue would be "Entrance to somewhere that serves food" Play around with that for a while

  19. Is it not 50p? i could be wrong! I know ASDA sell the News Post Leader, and if you check your free copy, you might just find a price tag on it If your not getting your free copy, you can Contact Them and let them know

  21. Your not Merlin, in fact i believe its at the heart of everyone's belief. Trying not to be racist, look at Chahals. They moved over here, adopted our way of life, created a business from scratch and still had time for their own beliefs. That's the sort of attitude all immigrants should have. When we go to other country's, we HAVE to abide by their beliefs. Just try kissing your wife in public and see what happens in certain countries! Stealing food to eat because you are literally starving actually loses you a hand in some parts! These people learn English because it is spoken in the majority of the world, its nothing to do with us demanding it so we can visit them. Its an advantage, that's all. i have nothing against anyone coming to this country to make a life for themselves. But to come over, then start bitching about what a raw deal they are getting after being shoved to the front of every benefit queue going, and then having the nerve to tell my niece she cant wear the cross her Grandmother gave her is just so wrong it infuriates me!
