  1. I beg to differ here like..it doesn`t work on it`s side. The scratched discs aside, when you open the tray to change the game, the bliddy game just drops out and hits the floor before you`ve got chance to catch it

So if your game hasn`t already been chewed up by the console, it will be nackered either way

    Thats true

  2. Star Ocean for me too, having looked at the other games there.

Any idea when the new Final Fantasy is being released? I heard that they were delaying it till next year

Speaking of Delays it looks like Star Ocean has been put back a couple of months.

Final Fantasy 13 has been released in Japan but it's not likely that we'll see it here until this time next year - at the earliest. Apparently it won’t be released until it has been re-written for both the PAL PS3 and the 360, meaning PS3 owners have to wait a while longer than they would have done without the 360 port.

  3. I could never get into the Sega Megadrive... the early Nintendo consoles were always better, up until the GameCube arrived that is! Although the emulators will bring back memories, I couldn’t see anyone actually playing the games through - or maybe some people do actually still play them!

What’s the price for these games?

  4. So what are you 360 owners looking forward to this month or next? Although we're coming to the end of February, there are still a handful of games due to be released within the next week:

    · 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand February 24

    · Puzzle Quest: Galactrix February 24

    · ShellShock 2: Blood Trails February 24

    · Star Ocean: The Last Hope February 24 Delayed until April 24th

    · Stoked February 24

    · Prince of Persia: Epilogue February 26

I think I'll be giving most of these a miss, with the exception of Star Ocean. It's good to see SO on the 360, I played the last game on the PS2 and thought it was one of the best RPG games on the console.

  5. From the screens I've seen so far of Windows 7 it does look good, but frankly, I'd rather have an OS that actually works properly. Vista isn't the first and certainly won't be the last failure in terms of OS's we'll see coming from Microsoft.

    That was my post!

  6. There`s more than enough room for that white tip van there! With their lovely drainpipe, high waisted, 2 ft wide thigh jeans

    :lol::lol:

If Tesco does expand, I suppose the market will have to move - but to the front street? How embarrassing... hopefully it will end up tucked away behind the post office. What with boarded up buildings and chavs everywhere, Bedlington looks scruffy enough at it is.

  7. They already have. It's called Android. And lucky T Mobile users can get it right now.

More phone manufacturers likely to take it up soon. Also Nokia are throwing [totally] open the Maemo platform from the next device (I use Maemo every day on my N800 - which is now totally hacked :) ). In addition to that Nokia are pledged to throw open the Symbian platform too. All of which is great news for users and bad news for M$.

Android is around for mobile, but what about an OS for my PC?

  8. Are these cars leaving the car park or are they just passing? :D

I'd be worried if they were leaving the Terrier and then smashing into the walls!

Nah, it's normally caused by t*** pots who think a 30mph road surrounded by houses and that runs past a green where kids play football instead of bricking windows, is for doing 70mph on because it's a nice long bit of road. Then they get to the corner and wonder why they've ended up through a wall.

  9. Just thought I'd create a new topic for the Google OS idea because I'm interested in what other people think about it.

    Quote from Google:

"All of us at Google spend much of our time working inside a browser. We search, chat, email and collaborate in a browser. And in our spare time, we shop, bank, read news and keep in touch with friends -- all using a browser. Because we spend so much time online, we began seriously thinking about what kind of browser could exist if we started from scratch and built on the best elements out there. We realized that the web had evolved from mainly simple text pages to rich, interactive applications and that we needed to completely rethink the browser. What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that's what we set out to build."

    Taken from this article

I think it's highly likely that Google will either create an OS of their own (For free of course), or as the writer of the article speculated, create something which can be run on any device without Windows.

We already know that Google is a major threat to Microsoft due to its massive array of open source / free applications and the whole idea of Cloud Computing seems to be catching on. But would there be a market for a Google OS or would it struggle to break into the home user market like Linux?

  10. It's good to see that we can now buy laptops off the shelves with a Linux OS pre-installed and you sometimes save a little bit of money too.

Not long ago Linux was virtually unheard of outside of the programmer circles but I think in time it will steadily gain more market share in the home consumer market as people are exposed to it on the shelves more and especially with all the hype around open source right now.

Speaking of open source, who else thinks it's only a matter of time before Google releases it's own operating system?
