  1. And still these folks get voted in
  2. Has this site once again "gone to the dogs" with infantile comments, its a crying shame really, I personally feel sorry for the person/persons who have spent there time, money and effort for this site to be available for the public domain and then see it ruined by certain individuals who see it as THERE personal message board. I mean some of the postings mean absolutly nothing to the majority so why bother? If and when the site owners "pull the plug" the individuals concerened may then revert to texting each other and keeping there infantile comments to themselves?
  3. I presume before you wrote this you did,t look to see exactly how much "the lad" spent in his reign at Newcastle or the compensation package he will recieve for his dissmissal I know one thing if I was,nt doing my job correctly and wasting company money the way he has the only compensation package I,d get would be my P45, not bloody millions of pounds, he should be ashamed, and folk might have thought a bit more of "the lad" if he,d resigned and claimed no compensation. My wish also is for Kevin Keegan to return I know he also spent millions and won nothing in the way of real silverware but hey what a rollercoaster ride it was and some of the best football ever witnessed for a long time, the Toon were adored countrywide by real fans of football, however we will just have to wait and see if scrapman Shephered does have the best interests of the club at heart and brings back K.K it would save him some dignity at least from the fans point of view compared to the fiasco thats just left.
  4. The question should also be WHY was he employed in the first place ? A knight of the realm and one of the most respected people in football sacked by a scrapman and the same scrapman gave Souness one of the biggest clubs in the country to run!!!! its a joke
  5. "QUOTE" From this weeks News Post Leader ( Awld Blyth News ) page 9 "Now that we have seen what a number of rebel Labour MPs can do to the present Government, perhaps it is time that local councillors should stand up to be counted. Major decisions taken at Wansbeck County Chambers are left to a select band of councillors - the remaining majority are just there to make the numbers up and rubber stamp what their masters have decreed. Just attend the public gallery and see them toeing the party line while college and schools' green fields are turned into housing estates; turning a blind eye to a major development such as North Seation which no one seems to want. Have these minor councillors no mind of there own? Surely there at least a few who might dissent once in a while. During my brief sojurn as a Lib Deb councillor for the College Ward in 2003, I attended a full council meeting of 45 councillors plus half a dozen council officials when the agenda was as thick as your arm, probably running to about 30 pages. And how long did that meeting last? All four and a half minutes I timed it. After each item on the agenda was read out, a Labour councillor leapt to his/her feet and moved that the item be passed, to be quickly joined by a compatriot who seconded the motion. Next item, same result. No discussion. Nothing, only a silent submission, leaving the minority opposition councillors gagged and helpless. No democracy here, I fear." MIKE KIRCUP. Does this sound familiar ?
  6. It's high time Wansbeck Council encouraged some reinvestment in the town, or it's just going to be a commuters ghost town. Judging by some of the houses for sale there's money there, but it isn't being spent locally. W.D.C Havn,t got time for Bedlington and judging by the replies there was in one of my few postings it seems neither have your local councilors or local ( LOL ) M.P. However TRUTH does hurt
  7. Lets face facts here..... for years Bedlington has been the poor relation of WDC and this is,nt the first time there has been complaints voiced by the council tax payers / voters of Bedlington our local "councillors" and "politicians" past and present have stood by and watched it happen, it,s an absolute disgrace, Bedlington should be a vibrant market town along the lines of Morpeth and attracting people with cash to spend here in our "town".... However don,t hold your breath as we can all be safley assured we will keep paying our taxes and giving our votes and NOTHING will get done as it has been for decades the only difference being stop paying your council tax and your in big trouble but change the way you vote well could that put the cat among the pigeons ?
  8. Some very good pics on there but I was wondering if anyone has any old pics of Humford Baths ? We all used to go down there when we were erm younger thanking you in anticipation
  9. It's been a while but I'm sure this site will be buzzing as it was in the past. THANK YOU!
