  1. I have a solution to sizsell's horse apple problem ... let the dogs gobble it up. My dog has been known to tuck-in to a steaming pile; recycling in it's purest form I hav,nt got a problem with horses or dogs for that matter I was looking at Toffo,s problem from a wider view
  2. I have dogs and yes I do put it in bags and yes I do put in bins, however there is a distinct lack of proper dog litter bins where folks can put the bags in to consequentaly that is why it gets put in to ordinary rubbish bins (OR taken home). and because a lot of the ordinary rubbish bins do,nt get emptied as often as they used to that is why they are overflowing just another cut back from our wonderful council officials. Oh and bytheway Toffo I presume when a load of folks out riding there horses come wondering past your abode and the horses decide to do what comes naturaly will you be winging on about them or is this acceptable OR should they be asked to "bag it"
  3. The OPEN LEARNING CENTER in the old school next to the library at the station is another place to go for newbies to this technology and you can also get qualifications.
  4. [i can't really see any of the candidates paying much attention over here they are too preoccupied with happenings yon side of the dyke! The mans a genius thats the ANSWER we should be ower that side and causing grief ower there then the buggers won,t be ruining things ower here Just a thought
  5. I found this and thought you might be interested. interesting
  6. Also Malcolm another old Quote Which is so particularily apt for this Labour government......You can fool some of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but you cannot fool ALL the people all the time. And instead of paying out huge dividends for failure to folks who have failed i.e RBS as an example put the money into the economy which they would have being paid it amounts to millions or worldwide BILLIONS probably a bit more..... are my ideas to simplistic? and if these individuals who fail complain of not getting their bonus and threaten to leave their employers .... let the buggers go I say.... after all the economy and their employers worldwide will be better off without them oh and so might WE
  7. You are to be applauded for making an effort however we can write all we want to on here or facebook or anywhere for that matter but the fact is out local councilors are yes men and women and have been since we got taken over by those buggers down the road, they give you all the right answers when they require your votes but when the chips are down and you need action they are full of wind and water oh yes they will accept praise when our senior councilors at Ashington give them permission to do a few things. And as for out local MP who is about to retire, nothing to do with the recent scandle I hope? well what has he EVER done for Bedlington With out wanting folks to say here we go again They have ALL stood by and watched this town turn it to the place it is now a DORMATORY town and as I said earlier because they are ALL yes men and women. My local EX councilor who shall remain nameless stated on his vote for me leaflet that he was stuffing through letter boxes at the last local elections that he wanted LOCAL JOBS FOR LOCAL PEOPLE...great idea however on closer inspection his office was in Blyth and the printing of his leaflet was done in bloody NORTH TYNESIDE. He was,nt around when I queried it with another councilor SHE said it must have been a misprint now thats the caliber of our councilors. I,m not trying to put a dampner on your actions and as I did say you should be applauded there is a lot of sense written on this site and some great ideas also there are some very intelliget folks on here (me not included) and if you can get them onboard to help you I,m sure you can make a difference if you want my humble opinion for what its worth. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.. There is an election coming up so why not organise a get together along the lines of the xmas lights big switch on but don,t invite those who consider themselves councilors.
  8. Would that be "local" jobs for "local" people just like the ones supplied to do our new market area? our "local" boundarys have now expanded to Scotland, apart from two lads from Beaty Road I,m not having a go at you or your politics you are are obviously very well informed and a lot of what you have to say on here I must agree makes sense, however I,m a bit more cynical than yourself I don,t trust or believe a SINGLE word this government/party national or local says or in fact writes...
  9. No disrespect Malcolm but where did this 0.05% come in to it or was that just an example? All I have said is these people/institutions should be held accountable INNOCENT folks are suffering and its wrong and immoral it,s ok reeling off figures we can all do that.... its estimated that 33% of the population are connected to the building industry in one way or another, it looks like its all we have left as everything else has been allowed to go but what does this government do about it........... oh yes they SAY they are going to build 1 million homes ...... erm wheres the money coming from....... words words and more words....... its should actualy be bolloks bolloks and more bolloks........I have a friend who supplies a national house builder and they cannot afford to pay him because yes the houses are sold but folks cannot get mortguages consequentally he cannot get paid........ Dont suppose any of that 100 billion is going spare is it
  10. Well if I were you I,d be making a BIG thing of it. I also have worked for large companies and seen "top talent" drafted in to help us to stay ahead of the opposition however when they are not performing I have and will continue to do so and say something about it. It may not please those responsible for bringing in these people and believe me when other companies in my field find out about these top people they won,t be approached.... simple really and not like football at all
  11. 60% here also or should it be..... ^6()% h^(R( a(s0
  12. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. and we can all have opinions MYSELF included as to how and why this catestrophic global event took place, we can ALL point fingers and apportion blame. However the fact of the matter is there are folks and corporations in the world who have actually made money out of this I mean what other business (apart from football) would folks who fail get paid annual bonusus ammounting to decades of earnings for a normal person. If I fail in my job i,m down the road as are are most of us... not these buggers they should be held accountable and I mean from the highest level it wont make a great deal of difference and it won,t FIX our problems however it might just make ammends to some of the poor innocent individuals who because of the greed of others are the ones who are REALLY affected. And I will go back to an earlier post where I mentioned that folks were saying a change of government is whats needed the problem again in my opinion is there is,nt a LEADER among ANY of them. I personally was livid when the labour party forced us to have a PRIMEMINISTER by default, we the public/voters had NO say in the matter whatsoever, irrispective of how we voted we had no say in this "DEMOCRACY" that we live in, it made me so annoyed I thought right I,m going to e.mail the opposition parties and ask them why they wer,nt SHOUTING FROM THE BLOODY ROOFTOPS about the way this was done and told them to get off there backsides and do something about it in the houses of parliment the ONLY reply I got was from the Conservatives and their answer was "quote" The days of PUNCH AND JUDY politics was over.......... Theres opposition for you I even offered to do it for them if they were scared and I got no reply. I wonder why to this day.... why no-one had the guts to say anything and the answer is there is no LEADER......
  13. I saw two chav types in there yesterday it looked like they were pinching slates off the room however they convinced me they were only stripping a few off to see if they could be re-used there mode of transport was a barra which I thought rather strange and they did a bit of a dissapearing act when two plastic coppers walked bye. But as they never batted an eyelid towards the "roof" I had two second earlier been talking to OR the barra with about twenty slates in must admit I was,nt surprised
  14. No I think TO far would have been with a coffin on board
  15. M.Ps are only doing what Blair/Bush did but they had inside information (NOT FORETHOUGHT) take us to WAR leave us in the u no what and because their not in power its not their fault BOLLOKS It never ceases to amaze me we can afford to waste billions of pounds not to mention innocent men and women on the front line getting killed on a daily basis who are worth MORE than money .... The country wastes billions on the Olympic Games when our national health service is on its !*!@# as is the education system our infrastructure is at breaking point, poor innocent folks are being put out of work, we subsides all and sundry, the ones who are working are getting stealth taxed right left and centre. I fear the worst as you may have deduced, people I have talked to are saying we need a change of government I,m not convinced that any party can sort this mess out. I,m no economist, however in my simplistic term if your running a business ie UK.plc if you can,t afford it you don,t do it until you can afford it. you save up for it. or you only borrow what you can afford to payback without upsetting your lenders ie YOU AND ME. We at one time led the world in producing all sorts, its all gone now and consecutive governments have stood bye and watched it all go. But as the song goes "THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER" I sincerly hope so
  16. I have fond memories of Barnton we lived in Alexander Row I went to the school until it was decided to close it (Mrs Topping was the headmistress if my memory serves me correctly) and we were all sent to the far reaches of Bedlingtonshire to continue our education I among others was sent to the Station School. I remember the co-op and and I also remember a little shop which only sold sweets and pop it was just like a wooden shed I forget the name of the street it was on but it stood at a right angle to Alexander Row and you had to go through a cut to get to it, there might have been two streets at one time but one was getting demolished because the footballers used one of the dissused houses as their changing room. I remember the rag n bone man coming round and a french bloke selling onions mind you he had an Ashington twang about his dialect lol. I remember not so fondly the oot side netties and believe me they were cald in winter my mam used to cook all our meals on the fire using the old black ranges we bathed in a tin bath in front of the fire on a first come first served basis the kettle was constantly on topping the bath up as the water cooled. On a winters morning I remember Ice on the inside of my bedroom window. The front door was normaly locked as it was rarely used but the back door was always open even if we went out, thieving from a neighbour was very rare. However I do remember a spate of thefts from a few houses in the street and no one could figure it out until someone worked out that as the houses were in a row and there was an empty house in the middle unlike today in the loft space you could go virtually the full length of the street undetected if you were quiet and these buggers were dropping down through the loft hatches stealing things and going back up this went on for about 2 weeks... I remember the day they were caught after they were sorted out vigilante style by very angry pitmen and their wives the police were called I know these 2 fellows never ventured near Barnton ever again mind you it was a punishment to behold.... at times I think it should be done now.... .Happy days as they say lol
  17. 20TH century thats a bit to recent methinks 19TH may have been more appropriate
  18. To be honest I thought it was already owned by the French ? Please correct me if I,m wrong
  19. And whats the betting of the budge roof NOT being replaced lol
  20. What GLOBAL WARMING is just a myth, a natural phenomina that occurs every 20,000 years give or take a few and Joe public are just being screwed by governments NO WAY LOL..... its about time someone told the truth 3G
  21. BECAUSE that lot look after there own and our councelors are YES MEN AND WOMEN
  22. OR become an independant town get rid of the so called town "councilors" and let the folks who REALLY care about the town and its future take control with no interfeering from those dozy buggers at Wansbeck Council we would save a fortune and have OUR council tax spent where it should be spent and that is HERE. This could be a vibrant market town as it should be and not the dormatery town it has become due to weak councilors and greed from Ashington ...
  23. Bedlington- £2.50; and free visit somewhere for a councilor... 15 centimeters
  24. Its possible if you take in to the equasion free housing, council tax etc etc + all of the benefits that are available IF you know the system and the ones who don,t and have paid in to it for decades and because of circumstances beyond their control i.e the idiots "supposedly" runnung the economy they get next to nothing its a disgrace however thats another issue all together
  25. He was interviewed on the BBC and the question was asked about the benefits he gets from the state that was my "dig" if you like his answer was he get it off ALLAH now it was about then that I got a bit "vexed" and if I was PM I would make sure he gets nothing else and just say its ALLAHS will.....I wonder what his comment would be then well I can tell you he would all of a sudden be a british citizen and demand his money and say it was being racialy and religiously abused....
