  1. TomTom are the original owners back in the Swan, I believe they left to take over The Cherry Tree (Stakeford). Heard a while ago, or maybe read it some where, that they had returned. Don't know if this is still the case. They had a good reputation when they first opened. I remember at the time nobody giving them a chance but they soon changed peoples opinions once word got round.

  2. Mine are just observations as well, great start to a radio station if you can't take criticism. I suppose there must be something in what I say. Why else get so worked up. Any way thought you weren't talking about this any more. New member, new post, what's the matter? can't you have a go under toast. Or am I completely off the mark NOT!!!!!!!

  3. When we set up Koast, we had honestly no idea about Synergy. I have always been part of radio in some form or another, infact after a few weeks of setting up Synergy contact Koast and that wasthe first we knew of an alternative group.

I won;t be drawn into public arguments. I have said all I have to say on the matter. Koast have taken no ideas from anyone.

Like I have said... feel free to contact me at any time.... we have nothing to hide.

You really thing because I worked at the Council I would have known about Synergy and have been able to take their ideas....? I think you are very sadly mistaken. THe Council employs over 8000 employess with a number of different departments.

Unfortunately from now on I won#t be commenting anymore. Please contact me and we can discuss this

    Kindest regards

Too near the truth I think :closed:

  4. Can I comment on Koast. We picked the name because of our location..... we are very close to the coastal area.... unfortunately website names coast.co.uk and .com were taken so we had the idea of spelling it with a K instead.

Thats the plain and simple answer on how Koast was born.

So why not Cambois Radio, or don't you know that Bedlington isn't on the Toast. You really know naff all about Bedlington when the the truth is known. Your best idea is to BOGOF! Bedlington Only Greets Our Friends. a say BEDLINGTON ONLY GREETS OUR FRIENDS.

  5. I think if Synergy were part of a wider corporation I don't think funding would have been a problem. The thing that bugs me is, Synergy have been trying for a good while to set up, then when the winning post is sight, low and behold two others appear, but not just on the horizon, no, these other two seem to have jet propulsion in their schemes! Where did they get their ideas from? Why now, when Synergy were so close? Why did they not try to set up before? Did someone in the know think 'Cor blimey, that's a good idea' I'll have some of that? How did it take Synergy so long to get Cooncil attention, then this Toast  waltzes in and gets every thing they want within a matter of weeks. Ideas, I think , have been snaffled. Something stinks to high heaven here. I would hate to think that someone in the cooncil employ, or ex employ, has had privy information on this matter, or priveleges extended. Because believe you me I WILL find out. BEWARE

  6. No Pete I think there is more to this than meets the eye, I get the feeling that there has been some 'Shenanigans' going on here, the feeling of gleaning information for personal gain, also of an abuse of inside information, like, it's not what you know, but WHO! Something just doesn't sit right here, and you know what, I'm going to make it my business to find out!

  7. hi,

With ref. to "who in their right mind would want to cycle through Cambois" (be careful Merlin and Monsta we still have witchcraft down here). We have many people who cycle through Cambois and North Blyth, especially in the summer months. Our visitors include foreign tourists and people from surrounding areas. Sustrans were involved in a £1.2m plan to re-connect Blyth town centre with Cambois and North Blyth which was part of a package of green transport schemes which secured £50m in Lottery funding following a national TV vote, "The Big Lottery Fund's People's £50m contest". Many local people picked up their phones and voted (which cost them to do so) on the strength that some of the money would be spent in the Cambois, North Blyth, Blyth and Bedlington areas. This money was subsuquently pulled after they thought through the future costs of the DUCK passenger ferry which many local people knew would be an issue. But instead of keeping some of the funding in the Cambois and North Blyth area they pulled it and spent it elsewhere as their revised scheme didnt include us. As usual a scheme which would have made a big difference to locals and the tourists cycling in our area every year, was unfairly axed. Once again the only time you hear anything about the Cambois and N. Blyth area, is when they are telling you what they are NOT going to do. I did hope our local councillors would have lobbied to have them spend at least a little in our area. I live in hope that eventually we will get our cycle path, but I wont hold my breath.

Cally we are both on the same side here, the big wigs talk and plan, but when it comes to putting the money where their gobs are well it seems to be unavailable or just ran out when it comes to our communities!

The dig at Cambois, well if we can't laugh at each other then we really are in trouble, Us, Cambois,GuidePost and Stakeford have been the laughing stock of Northumberland for quite a few years now!

  8. Darnie, darnie, darnie, what's up? Come on now tell your uncle Merlin. You haven't crashed into another lamp post have you? Don't worry we won't tell that nasty Asda. Or is it that between your posts everyone is having a laugh, good banter and are generally getting on with each other, is that what is getting your goat? Moderators on here now let things ride because they realise that people have different opinions to themselves. Your blatant attack on such, in the bad old days, would have resulted in a warning to yourself and your post being removed, much to the delight of the other moderators! Glad to say those days are long gone. We dish, we take it, no problem. So, come on. What's up? Uncle Merlin wants to know. :)

By the way what criteria do I meet? :dribble:

  9. I knew I should have stuck in and tried to hone my football skills when younger, or went on that locksmiths course when I were a lad. Playing football or crime is the only way to make a decent wedge in this day and age, you get massive rewards no matter which one you do even if you are caught ducking and diving
