If you do have to 'pay as you throw' people will simply stop throwing as much in the bin.

this will only lead to more rubbish dumped, and more litter on the streets.

The amount of rubbish that will be in laybys will be unbeleivable,then the council will have to pay to collect it (the cost will then be passed on to us) they will then take it to the nearest landfill to tip it,where it would have gone anyway but without the cost!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how many of you know him, but the news of the death of the Wharton Arms landlord has stunned the pub.

Brian Young, died in hospital on sunday. His funeral will take place on Tuesday.

I had the pleasure of knowing Brian personally, and he is already missed.

Known him since I used to drink in the Monkey when John was Landlord,had some great lock-ins then mate.

No doubt the Wharton will be heaving to give him a great send off.

For the standard of his 'Building skills' you should look no further than Perrystone Mews,where at this moment in time one house has been vacated,to allow proper builders in to replace walls that are bending,yes bending because there is not enough support in them,and to replace flooring upstairs that has dropped about a foot ,the soil pipe was also incomplete.

This brings into question:-Where was the building inspector in all this?and Should he be running for cover as well?
