  1. I am building a wood fired oven in my back yard once it is completed you are all invited for a traditional Aussie bar b que if you are in the neighborhood, does any one out there have any experience with one of these and can you give me any tips about the construction of it ..................

Better check the local bye-laws Brian, don't want the cooncil an' fire brigade giving you a hard time

  2. When these people want to change things its only for the good of them not us!

This God-Damn country is getting me down. I for one am sick to death about being told what I can and cannot do for safety and health reasons,!*!@# its profit reasons and profit reasons only, speed cameras for safety, crap, profit!Stop smoking in public places and work for health reasons, crap, its so no-one can sue for passive smoking, more money kept by them.Carbon emissions on cars higher car tax, profit............................................

    Sigh

  3. i thought it was that way already, as when i deliver to stakeford, the delivery address comes back as choppington...

    eg Half Moon Street,

    Choppington,

    Northumberland.

Stakeford,GuidePost and ScotlandGate are in the parish of Choppington!

  4. What do you think about having a section detailing the Bye-laws applicable to Bedlington?

Dont have to be postable, just a refrence section somewhere near the bottom, perhaps one thread open to ask questions etc?

i only ask because i have absolutly no idea whatsoever what bye-laws are in force, or how to find out where they would be listed!

i mean, how do you know your breaking the law if the rules are not up somewhere?

Will the council not have a copy,or the library!Just a thought

  5. The NEWCASTLE supporters I've met have seemed pretty happy with Owen when they came back from seeing him score last-minute winners in two home games already this season.

I'd be happy as well if he did it in every game! Take my word for it he'll come back injured, then the next two games for Newcastle he'll probably score two hat-tricks,pity those two games will be at the end of the season just in time for him to !*!@# off to play for England again

  6. kick out the immigrants or shoot them! same difference!:lol:

Good bit of debating there monsta you wouldn't happen to be laughing at the time would you by any chance

Malcolm, everybody I talk to from every walk of life agrees with what we say,so how come,if everybody is in agreement,do these beaurocrats get away with what they do.Who votes these people into power, they are supposed to represent the views of the people, aren't they.Since when did they change the rules so that the minority succeeds over the majority, and if they have changed the rules, surely we should be governed by some extremist minority morons!

Hold on Malcolm I think we already are

  7. i saw some where that the UKIP party done some research into wether people would vote for there policies. and the results show that 7 out of 10 would vote for there policies to take the UK out of the EU. i for one back them fully and think the soon the better stop the immigrants were ever they come from!

but saying that the tavern would be pretty empty if they did!:lol::lol:

Hitler will be laughing in his grave,he tried and failed with his armies, now the Germans,French and others are succeeding to take control of this country by the back door.I lost family in the war who fought and died for the freedom of this country! We should tell the lot of them, with their straight banana laws to.......OFF!

  8. I dont know... games come with ratings on them just like films do.

These games are made by adults, for adults. I've never seen a computer game thats been made yet that comes anywhere near the gore and hack seen in movies.

If it's the kids that everyone's worried about, stop them from playing the games. It's only a small percentage of the games market that contain this stuff but the games arent made to encourage people to eat each other. They are made to shock the player and get a reaction - which they do, and do well - otherwise we wouldnt be talking about it now. It's 'entertainment' for those that want it.

Take it or leave it. The games industry will be bigger than the movie industry soon enough. You just have to look at Halo 3 to see how big it's become.

Should make a game where you can shoot, blast and kick the s**t out of Chavs.

  9. On Monday night my bin was set on fire. We learned about it when the fire brigade came to put it out. The fire brigade pulled the bin away from the side of the building and said that if they'd been any later, the building would have set hold. Next morning when the police came they said that so many bins in Bedlington had been set fire to that night that they had called the police helicopter out.

If you bins-set-alighters are reading this I'd like to ask you how you would feel if half a dozen, or even one of those bins on fire had caught hold of the house and killed the people inside. how would you feel if some of those people were small children?

You were very lucky this time, you didn't kill anybody. THINK ABOUT IT.

What happens to them if they are caught...........................................

Sod all nothing, we have been here before, birching, thrashing blah blah blah

Nothing will happen until the law abiding citizens of our community get the law back on our side instead of the criminal elements side

But with so many do-gooders about this will never happen :(

    Sad very sad

Anyway I'm pleased that no one was injured and that your property was undamaged as you say you were lucky! I hope it never happens again

  10. What absolute nonsense.

Owen was fit to come on and play on Sunday. If Newcastle had a game this Saturday, Allardyce would be picking him.

Does wanting to represent your country make you a "little !*!@#"?

What does that make somebody who slings nasty abuse at a player who has delighted millions of England supporters with important goals over the last nine years?

Spot on mate 'millions of ENGLAND supporters' what good does that do the toon when he invariably comes back injured, who, after all have to pay his wages while he gets fit for the next England game!Hes still in a huff cos Liverpool didnt want him back and Man U weren't interested because of his fitness so he came to the next best thing which was Newcastle who were prepared to pay over the odds and give him incredulous wages, for this I think he should show some loyalty to the club who pay his wages.

  11. So the little man is going to defy Big Sam. He says he wants to play both games for England, well good luck to him he seems to put country before the people that pay his wages,if I say if I should say when he gets injured playing for country and is unavailable for the toon then Big Sam should suspend him and fine him all wages. He should not put him on the transfer list but let the little !*!@# rot, then see how many games he gets for England.

There is too much money in club football now for players to be 'loaned' out to play for another team.National teams should revert back to amateur status. Then maybe we would see football with players actually wanting to wear the shirt for pride!

  12. I was down the street last w/end and called into the Tavern, shocked is an understatement what the !*!@# they done to the place. At first I thought they were renovating the place while still trading it looks like a building site at least and at worst you'd think a load of asians had moved in! What a mess,no seats anywhere but in one corner, pool table moved to take up more room beside bar, wall or partition ripped out and left as it is,there were more people behind the bar than were in the place and even then had trouble getting served as they all seemed more intent on finding out who was available to drive a TAXI. It gets even worse folks, for as I looked around aghast, there lurking at the end of the bar for all to see was the !*!@# Sun news paper sitting unabashed with a pint just waiting for some poor sop to pick it up! Could it get any worse!!!!!!

So are they doin the place up or are they goin the whole hog an puttin down spitoons an sawdust?

Cos if they are I'll be there again next w/end

  13. I had an absolutely fabulous time Blank, spent most of the time visiting relatives and seeing the sites. Woodhorn museum has changed since the last time I was there, they have made a fantastic job of that place. Seen the couple out to sea at Newbiggin, difficult to see them as they are so far out

I had a good night in the Railway Tavern last Saturday, looking forward to Christmas so that I can get back up there again, if I talk the wife into it I will move back up there permanently miss the place.

    :D

Sorry I didn't see you Pete but I did say I would be hiding behind sand dunes,I was also hiding under the pool table at the Tavern

When you come up again we meet up ok,me and a few others, just make sure you got access to the site eh!

Oh! I promise not to hide

  14. Not entirely correct there pete me old mate!

ASDA, or rather AsDa, was known as Assosiated Dairys when it first started trading in england, then the name was shortened to ASDA when they went countrywide.

Wall*Mart has only been part of ASDA for less than a decade, when they bought the company and the trading name when ASDA was about to go bust a while back.

Its well known throughout the current 'ASDA' that working conditions, morale and the general environment were destroyed slowly but surely when the american company took over.

Now i believe it has a bigger turnover of staff than a years bricklaying course has, as the conditions are so bad no-one wants to work there, and as soon as a job shoveling coal comes along the smart ones take the job, and the thick ones become ASDA managers!

...Nothing against the managers tho ;)

Funny I been shoppin at Blyth Asda for a long time and I still see the same old tired faces.

This smacks of a grudge. Were you sacked by any chance Mr Darn?

Were you caught dipping your fish finger in the cod pieces?

Were you practicing your over the counter skills?

Or did you just help yourself to some B.O.G.O.F's
