At the bottom of Rothesay Terrace there used to be a co-op, they used to deliver milk but a bit further down there used to be another shop and they used to deliver milk. What was the mane of that shop its driving me mad trying to think of its name.

To the left on the co-op as you looked at it there used to be a shop called Barns not sure if its still there.

with reference to a swimming pool in bedlington, i think alot of people would rather travel to surrounding areas than pay extra to live.

i dont mean to sount like i've given up, but i have heared councilors who have said 'right, i'm gonna do this, will you back me?' and 90% of the people shouting for it sit down.

the councilors do the things they get backing for, unfortunatly the only people that seem to be doing the backing are those that dont want what we want! hence why it always seems to go 'the minority's' way. That minority are the only ones that do anything.

the rest sit back expecting it to just happen coz it should!

My reference to Malcolm going for it was based upon the fact that he has demonstrated a knowledge of how councils work (on this forum).

If you want to get anything done you have to start somewhere after all the Labour, Conservative and the Liberal party had to begin at some point in time even if it has taken a few years to get established.

Why cant we have a common sense party and not a collection of MP's that are cleaver talkers but do nothing except listen to the minority.

We'd be better off with The Monster Raving Looney Party,they got to be better than what we got at the minute

Getting back to topic looks like WDC will be no more after March next year, but then I guess everyone will know that after being consulted about any change, seeing as it represents a fundamental shift in local democracy!

The cut'n'paste kid is correct. Leisure centres are costly to run and there simply isn't the demand for one in Bedlington. There are perfectly adequate facilities in Blyth, Cramlington and Ashington.

What Bedlington needs is a Wetherspoons pub, a new estate agent and somewhere for the ladies to get their hair done.

You forgot Newbiggin after all they just spent ten million quid there for new defences and sand,sand that will give Cambois the best beach in the area!!!!!!!!!!!!
