When I was pilfering coal from there it was open cast,but you could see old mine workings there,roadways etc.also old artifacts were lying about don't know what happened to these,in hindsight I should have collected them instead of the coal and put them on That online auction site that is in no way as good as Free Bedlington.co.uk Classifieds. Pete these people don't live in the same world as us,if something were to happen to one of them or theirs they would act bloody quick I can assure you For example the mortar attack on downing street,they were quick enough closing the street down, erecting fences,big gates and armed police on patrol. I know this was the I.R.A. but they acted good and quick when their skins were at risk!!

I can see my neighbours bins overflowing now :lol: I wonder which jobsworth is trying to justify his/her job now? The amount of rubbish that will be in laybys will be unbeleivable,then the council will have to pay to collect it (the cost will then be passed on to us) they will then take it to the nearest landfill to tip it,where it would have gone anyway but without the cost!!!!!!!!
