  8. When I was pilfering coal from there it was open cast, but you could see old mine workings there, roadways etc.also old artifacts were lying about don't know what happened to these,in hindsight I should have collected them instead of the coal and put them on That online auction site that is in no way as good as Free Bedlington.co.uk Classifieds. People were saying at the time it was the working's of the monks, don't know if this is true! Anyway nice place to live!

Nature has the answer, and always has done. Do you grab a nettle a second time? Do you grab a wasp a second time? Would you jump into a bramble bush? The answer is NO! Why? PAIN and more PAIN

This again boils down to 'Human Rights' these usually only apply to the criminal class. Look the police know who these people are so why not get their riot batons out go knock on their doors smack them on the napper then take their weapons away! Job done! Message sent out to anyone else still with weapons.

Not sure in the context that he uses it,but to me I'm sure it means to be playing with the traffic and not using proper crossings in America. Or maybe Brian just got up after a night on the beer

Pete these people don't live in the same world as us,if something were to happen to one of them or theirs they would act bloody quick I can assure you For example the mortar attack on downing street, they were quick enough closing the street down, erecting fences, big gates and armed police on patrol. I know this was the I.R.A. but they acted good and quick when their skins were at risk!!
  19. I can see my neighbours bins overflowing now  I wonder which jobsworth is trying to justify his/her job now? The amount of rubbish that will be in laybys will be unbeleivable, then the council will have to pay to collect it (the cost will then be passed on to us) they will then take it to the nearest landfill to tip it,where it would have gone anyway but without the cost!!!!!!!!
  20. Known him since I used to drink in the Monkey when John was Landlord, had some great lock-ins then mate. No doubt the Wharton will be heaving to give him a great send off.
