  1. Well it`s too early to vote i reckon, i can say who won`t win though Sam Fox, coz she`s a right twisty hoop Katie Price - that`s if she appears I would like to see Jimmy White win, but i haven`t seen any coverage yet so..............it`s just too hard at the minute, coz no-one has seen their personalities (other than Katie Price and she seems to be a right dragon) I`ll give it one week then make my mind up
  2. I never thought of a poll, but i don`t seem to be able to start a one
  3. Haway then, who`s gonna win it? For anyone that watches it, here`s the full line up 1) Camilla Dallerup ('Strictly' star Camilla Dallerup has packed her bikini, `Suprise, Suprise`) 2) Colin McAllister & Justin Ryan ("If we can't do camp, who can?" `Elton John, Graham Norton, Alex Reid (to name a few) TV personalities Colin & Justin) 3) George Hamilton (The 'Tanned One/Tango Man - George Hamilton brings some class to the jungle ) 4) Gino D'Acampo (Madcap chef Gino (ooh, i say) D'Acampo promises to cook up a storm) 5) Jimmy White (Will Jimmy 'Whirlwind' White survive with his phobia of snakes? Who cares? Alex Higgins is much better) 7) Kim Woodburn (How clean is the jungle? Kim Woodburn (She-man) gets to the bottom of it!) 8) Lucy Benjamin (Ex-EastEnder Lucy Benjamin is most worried about her hair going frizzy ) 9) Sabrina Washington (Popstar? Sabrina Washington may struggle with her fear of heights) 10) Sam Fox (Former Page 3 girl Sam Fox has promised be the "female Rambo") and i well believe it 11) Stuart Manning (Former 'Hollyoaks' hunk? Stuart Manning should keep the female campmates happy, unless they`re called `Samantha Fox`) Apparently Number 12 is.. 12) Katie Price aka Jordon aka Krusty aka Tramp Come on folks, place your bets. This is better than the Prediction League

  7. I must say, i`m pretty impressed with the xmas tree, it`ll look a lot better when the lights and decorations get put on though. The workmen seem to have been busy too, you can finally get an idea of what it`s going to look like
  8. And i wasn`t swearing there mind!
  9. That`s only coz your name starts with a `P` Pete Me and !*!@# have the same score
  10. Have you not got CCTV up? If you catch them on video at least you`ll know who they are and if they`ve been kicking your garage door in you`ll be able to get them charged with criminal damage or disturbing the peace (something like that anyway)
  11. Too much to reply too tonight, but going over your post it reads like it`s the immigrants that do all that stuff..having kid after kid what they can`t afford to look after, come to England claiming every benefit under the sun, getting priority housing with all their rent paid. And to quote you `Would you seriously prefer some immigrants to die needlessly or live in torturous conditions, so that some families can live carry on popping out an extra benefit every 9 month?` when did i even mention prefering immigrants to die? Don`t even try the guilt trip on me. Maybe you should try a bit compassion and loyalty to the people of England, they go through just the same hardship as anyone else..if you can`t get your head around that then maybe it`s time you jumped on the boat and took HP with you..MrDarn if there`s room too.
  12. Oh, and how dare `the natives` have ill health. And by the way is `natives` a word the immigrants use? Is that their word for English people, or is it just the word you use? Either way, if i was easily upset (like some folk on here) i would call that racist.
  13. Looking a bit closer to home perhaps we need to look at our lifestyles and the impact they have on the state much more than the impact of the small percentage of immigrants. I have worked with vast numbers of asylum seekers, every single one of which was keen to work, volunteer, educate themselves, stay healthy, generally be a valuable member of the community. The money I have seen spent has always gone on the problems of the 'natives' in crime, benefits, social services, ill health and the like... the ammount spent on some of 'our own' families can top £1million a year when you count up benefits, housing and mainly the cost of serivces 'to put them right'... 1 child alone, damaged by their parents can cost the system £20,000 a month to support them in education and/or medical support, multiply that by a family of 5... the kids of course, stay with their parents, it would be unfair not to... and the parents? well they will get more beer money if they add another to the nest. So in a nutshell, all the immigrants (the small percentage )are here purely for to work, volunteer, educate themselves, stay healthy, generally be a valuable member of the community?) Whilst,`the natives` ie..English people, are nowt more than dole scrounging folk that think nowt of spending their benefits (all of £50 a week of it on booze, that`s if the !*!@# at the dole can be bothered to push a button for his minimum wage, hard work i know) So i wonder how `the natives` as you call them, can even afford to buy bottles of plonk, let alone eat. And do the `natives` not want to work, volunteer, educate themselves, stay healthy? Or are all `natives` alky good for nothings? It`s no wonder they`re in ill health really. Pity they couldn`t pull the `racism card` really.
  14. Isn`t it ironic..Nick Griffin is being talked about? While a lot of the stuff that the BNP stands for is totally wrong, a lot of the stuff is also true? Maybe people are catching on to this?? Time will tell i suppose.
  15. According to this blog the herring are placed in a brine solution of plain salt and water for a predetermined length of time depending on their size and, lastly, they are hung on tenter hooks and placed in the cavernous smokehouses. Fires are placed under the rows of herring made of whitewood shavings and oak sawdust and these smoulder away for up to 16 hours before the kippers are ready.

  23. Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Bedlington. It happened between 10.30pm on Wednesday, 23 September, and 3am Thursday, 24 September, at a house in Bedlington station. A thief broke into the house while the occupant, a 67-year man, was sleeping. He was woken by a noise, investigated and disturbed the thief. He was then assaulted by the intruder and suffered minor injuries as a result of the attack. A small quantity of cash was taken and later recovered. DC Jaclyn Younger, Bedlington CID said: " This was a serious offence with an elderly man robbed in his own home. We are carrying out extensive enquiries to try and gain any information that will help with enquiries. It's important to highlight how infrequent offences like this are in Bedlington." Anyone with any information or who may have seen someone suspicious in the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact police in Bedlington on 03456 043 043 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

    Off-License Goes Off-Line

Following the collapse of Wine Cellar Ltd on Wednesday, the Simply Drinks Bedlington Branch on Front Street West has closed with immediate effect. The company which operated under the Booze Busters, Simply Drinks and Simply Food & Drinks Brands had 170 stores, the majority being in the North West and North East of the country. Administrators Deloitte announced yesterday that a deal had been struck to sell 109 stores to EFB retail, but the remaining 61 stores closed today having failed to tempt any further buyers. The closures have resulted in about 320 job losses nationwide. Deloitte partner Bill Dawson, said: "We will be working closely with the Redundancy Payments Office to provide support for these staff." On a more upbeat note, Bedlington.co.uk would like to welcome "The Head Shed" to the town, a newly opened Barber's Shop taking the place of D&G Computer Media in the Market Place.
