Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. Before he died, I believe that my father lent a photograph of the Choppington Home Guard, containing a picture of my grandfather, to a local Historian by the name of J (I think John) Dawson who writes a series of books on the local area. We now can't find this picture and I'd like to find out if my Dad ever got it back from him or failing that if he has a scanned copy of it. Can anyone put me in touch with Mr Dawson?

I'd be so grateful for any help

I suggest that you follow this link:

..and have a ring around. Even if it's not one of the three J's there, there's not that many Dawsons in the area, and a fair few of them will be related. Even if he's ex-directory one of them will surely be able to put you in touch.

It's quite amazing isn't it, that Denzel didn't have the last say on this post?
