July 5, 201016 yr I was brought up in Bedlington from being six years old right up until I joined the Army at 19. I've been away from Bedlington off and on for 24 years and I still miss it all the time, some of my happiest memories come from swimming at the dam, playing football with the Marleys when the baths were still there, hearing Micky Hale had broke another bone and of course the Picnic. Great memories, a great time to grow up and a great place to live.
July 5, 201016 yr Ah - someone who knows how to rapidly build reputation! One from me too!If only the people who still live in Bedders were quite as active as those who left, or those who only visit! But, I suppose that's the way of the World.
July 5, 201016 yr Author Thanks for the welcome everyone, I live in a small mining town about 10 miles outside of Manchester now, it's not to dissimilar to Bedlington except they all speak in a regional dialect that sounds like they're having a stroke.
