Maggie/915 Posted January 26, 2013 Author Report Posted January 26, 2013 Love it who to put in the balloon and who to throw out.Present company accepted
Symptoms Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 Perhaps we could arrange roundal targets to be strategically positioned upon Northumberlandia's voluptuous form as aiming points.
Maggie/915 Posted February 4, 2013 Author Report Posted February 4, 2013 Pictures on the targets could help secure concentration
Maggie/915 Posted April 7, 2013 Author Report Posted April 7, 2013 Maybe of interest if you cannot get to visit the new lady in our midst.I think this summer and after we are going to find rather a lot of visitors in the area.We may even have to complain about Bloody Tourists.
tomtom Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Still an absence of comfort stops! - but I suppose that it's still early days.

Keith Scantlebury Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 I'll be across there tomorrow hauling coal from the opencast, any messages for her ?
Maggie/915 Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 The landform has won two awards from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations annual North East Pride Awards. This was from an article in the News post Leader 24th October 2013
Maggie/915 Posted November 13, 2013 Author Report Posted November 13, 2013 Some exiles returned and visited our Earth Goddess. They had expected to be underwhelmed but walked, took in the views and the position and became impressed.Maybe I influenced them, slightly.
Maggie/915 Posted December 11, 2013 Author Report Posted December 11, 2013 Northumberlandia now has been named Miss World after winning a global competition. It has won the Best Landscape Architecture category in the 2013 International Property awards.
keith lockey Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Was on top of The Lady yesterday - ooh no missus, titter ye not - incredible views and I was amazed at the extent of the opencast works behind it. But I still can't make sense out of it's layout - baffles me, that. But I was more impressed by the wildlife - damsel flies (tons) butterflies (even more) and a lovely cheese & tomato toastie at the cafe.

Brett Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 I've been meaning to get up there and get some shots of the sunset as it sets nicely over the top of Plessey late on.
mercuryg Posted June 20, 2014 Report Posted June 20, 2014 Keith, the opencast is certainly one bloody big hole! It's lovely up there, great views.
Maggie/915 Posted June 20, 2014 Author Report Posted June 20, 2014 I am so pleased everyone is enjoying our tourist attraction.
keith lockey Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Sorry, I meant to get back to this one. I still don't like Northumberlandia as a tourist attraction. I just cannot see the point in the design. There is too much up and down and going around. They might as well have built a rollercoaster on the site. But the views are impressive and the insect life is flourishing.
Canny lass Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 It looks fantastic from the air as you fly into Newcastle Airport. Previously I've Always kept a look out for St. Mary's lighthouse, Whitley Bay but this is way better.
Maggie/915 Posted June 28, 2014 Author Report Posted June 28, 2014 I have not seen it from the air Canny Lass. Thanks for the comment, I must fly out soon.Mind you I do enjoy walking from ground level up and do not mind going round and round.Health and fitness maybe is an important part of the lady's charm to some people. The path of least resistance,or an up hill struggle.
