Kielder?

Wait, what about the circus?

I saw they had a zebra and a camel...

Kielder?

I have to say me and my children have had many a spendid day down plessey woods at the swimming area of the river, you know, the place thats all decked out? nice sun trap there for a picnic/sunbathing. They got it nice now at the visitors center too so i hear !

see the website here

or if your browser wont let you click the link goto http://www.northumberlandlife.org/plesseywoodscountrypark/

Kielder! There's a castle and new maze (both free) and a fantastic Bird of Prey centre: http://www.discoverit.co.uk/falconry/

I like the blue reef aquarium in Tynemouth also... there's lots of fish and amphibians, plus now they've got loads of otters too:

Couple that up with an afternoon at St Mary's Lighthouse and you've got a grand day out!

Or places up in the Simonside Hills are always nice for a paddle in the river and an excavation of an Iron Age Hill fort?

However, if you're feeling a bit adventurous there's offers on http://www.megatrain.com/uk/ that can get you the train from Morpeth to Edinburgh for the day for only £1! Maybe some other places too! Not bad... well, it beats Cambois beach anyday...

Oh! I did a day out at Diggerland a few years back... except it only lasted 90mins and cost me more than £50! (excluding Slush Puppies)

And the rides have been known to kill people!

And it was dusty and dirty too

I recently looked a hiring a caravan at Sandy Bay because me and the wife want to come up and visit the Family that still live in Bedlington.

To my surprise they want £600 a week for a caravan on that site unless you go in September when its £300.

Does anyone know of any other sites of B and B's in the area?

Cheers Pete

Thanks Cympil, there certainly different prices from the ones I was finding through Parks Leisure, Thanks again.

The only bed and breakfast near to Bedlington what i can think of is the Anglers Arms at Sheepwash..i don`t know what sort of prices they are though..

dosn't the swan do B+B? (between bedlington and choppington over the railway lines) also, the bedlington terrier pub used to do B+B too once...no more?
