was in the parish today and saw no snakes - possibly because of the weather - but I did (or should that be did not?) notice any significant pigeon population - is this because of the culinary deviance of Vic? J'accuse!!!!! (CL - does that pigeon lay choccy eggs ? if so can ya send me a breeding pair)

A couple of days ago I was horrified to see an advert on this site which read (in large letters) "Nice girls, naughty thoughts". What disturbed me most was that my 11 year old grandson had just sat down at the computer about to start his homework. Thinking that I'd close the advert I clicked on the X and was redirected to a message which informed me that I could remove ALL advertising for an annual cost of just five quid. Bargain, I thought and paid immediately. Now, I am not naive and I understand and appreciate that it costs money to run a site like this. I also understand that advertising is necessary to help cover those costs. We can all help keep this site alive and avoid advertising of the type I mention by becoming a support member. So GET YOUR WALLET/PURSE/BANK CARD OUT AND GIVE THE LADS A HAND. As the message informs us - it costs only the price of a Starbucks coffee, a pint at your local or the busfare to church - well, something along those lines. PS you get a pretty orange sticker under your name as well!

my apologies mercury, I assumed he was Italian as it stuck In my mind that he was associated with pinnafarina. as an aside = having spent many yrs in Italy and knew the Agnelli family who owned fiat and a large lump of Ferrari .I was often at the marinello rosso collection and was invited to a pre release press day (free drink included) for the Fiat tipo. I had to reach for another bottle when I saw in wonderful tacky chrome letters on the back of the pre production mock up of the turbo diesel model -the following; Fiat Tipo TurD I really should have said nothing............................

Thank you Pete, it hasn't snowed for a few days now, it is forecast again in a few days, we have had daytime plus temperatures for three days now (+5c yesterday) and lost a lot of snow.

It was trained to swallow the message in the event of falling into the wrong hands, Vic. You've probably eaten it along with the pigeon!

Two arrived here but there was no message attached, they were very tasty.
