Anybody want to take up the challenge of initiating the Market Cross as Bedlington's new speaker's corner? I'll provide the megaphone.
-
If you haven't already read it this topic may be of use to you.
-
3-1 Good start there from the terriers.
-
ofcourse it is! seeing that "pentium" wasn't invented until the 1990's! whats the real answer
Don't always judge a 2Ghz Pentium computer by it's cover
-
nor really its pretty shocking to put up a quiz and not tell us the proper answer!
no really it's a 2 Ghz pentium computer.
-
Good luck to the terriers. Looking forward to the match report Neil

Bedlington and Cramlington Connection
"The two towns are separated by the deep cleft cut by the River Blyth. Forging a new path through this most attractive area and crossing the river near Humford Mill Stepping Stones is the only way to overcome the obstacle of the main road between the two towns and to link the extensive Cramlington Greenway Network with the proposed east/west promenade through Bedlington."

This is interesting, I hadn't heard of this project until today but I think this would be a very good thing and hopefully put a bit more life back into Humford Woods. A leisure centre at Gallagher Park would also partner this nicely.
Now where can we get £500,000 pounds from to fund a leisure centre...

It's a 2Ghz Pentium Computer and not a single correct vote.

Not an orb or ghost in sight unfortunately. I`ve posted some pictures in the gallery, maybe you`ll spot a spook on the photo`s
Dunno about spooks but there seems to be a miniaturised child hanging from a chain in this one...

If you do could you please private message me with info please?

Doesn't look like anybody got it right. Come on then 3G spill.
-
The majority of the stalls, however, appeared to be business initiatives, training providers and employment services
You mean just like the post event "news"?
Not a single mention of any of the Bedlington Entrepreneurs.

You forgetting something the B%^$£&*S control Ashington and Blyth don't think that their car parks will escape.just look at Morpeth!!!!

One Town - One Aim - One Voice
I quite like that

Bedlington - Ex mining town, been suffering with an identity crisis for 25 years, needs TLC and a good clean. Has lovely wooded areas a golf course and a pit heap hill, lots of empty pubs ( a few nice ones ) and a massive cop shop and court with a chav factory as an annex. Its got a TESCOS
I like it
I think the printer charges by the letter unfortunately.

Speakers Corner At The Market Cross?
in Talk of the Town
Posted
No to both questions. I recently watched a program "The Speaker" I think it was called which was looking for Britain's best young speaker. As part of their "training" they spoke at Speakers Corner in Hyde Park and far from rebellion it appeared to be quite constructive.
When somebody mentioned to me the other day that nobody knew when or for what purpose the Market Cross was built, I thought it may have been some sort of public speaking pedestal.
