Well for that I used a 30mm lens at f1.4
I'm no pro. It's only a 4 second exposure at iso 400, I took some longer exposure shots but was impatient and missed focus.
I was going to take some more tonight but it's really overcast at the moment.
I've never used a telescope with a camera before but obviously larger sensor sizes and good performance at higher iso levels with a nice fast lens will give good results. A focus lock at infinity would also help.
I'm hoping to try some time lapse if the clouds clear at all this week. I've seen some good examples with panning and tilting telescope heads like yours but I think I'm going to try with a mini-tripod and a plant turner to see how that turns out.

Unless you forward a link to this topic to everybody in your address list you will get a virus - B. Gates, Microsoft
This is no scam people, I didn't forward this to everybody in my address book and this morning I got swine flu.

Why, can you use it?
Yep I can think of a number of uses for it.

Photos of said fences... http://www.bedlington.co.uk/community/index.php?showtopic=2022
Didn't they recently spend a load of cash doing up the market area and putting down that nice paving that they've ripped up today? Can't remember exactly when but yes, about ten years ago I think. Anybody know what has happened to the old paving?

It's a function of the forum software that we are not using. Ordinarily it would allow people to upgrade their membership by paying a subscription. Thanks for pointing it out I'll hide it from the list of options.

So there's the challenge: show us you've though this one through properly, and that this is not a religious belief that you only feel must be true!

OK I'll have a go at a little micro machines style racing game.

Best two games of football I've watched in a long time 6-5 to Chelsea on aggregate 10 minutes to go.

its just a bit corporate, dull and sterile! wheres the life, the job centre web site has a more jolly colour scheme than here!
It's hard to explain but there is in fact more colour in the design but a lot of it is still hidden, as more content is added it will appear.

Really don't like it when it's all white.
Yeah wasn't supposed to happen that the pitfalls of editing a live site.

OK reverted to a white background, thoughts?

And while we're on the subject of content anybody is welcome to submit articles for publication.

Consider it a work in progress.
Yeah it's not quite finished because the content writers were being impatient
Keep in mind as well that this is purely an image revamp on the forums front, functionally it should be identical... for now.

This is also untrue.St. Benet Biscop Catholic High School is the first and only school in the UK to date to have founded a fully functioning independent business -
Pity their "high standards" don't extend to proofreading their own copy.
It might be one of those space saving swimming pools that disappear when you turn your back on it.

Instead of complaining why not go to London with the rest of them and riot today.
Because the majority of protesters in London today don't even know what they are protesting against themselves. Interestingly it was amusing to watch how many are wielding expensive top of the range Canon DSLR's and Sony video cameras produced by "The Man"

still under a pound per litre still cheaper than it was last year!
Yes but there are two seperate things at work here, the cost of oil and the tax. Whilst the price of petrol may have fallen since last year this is because of a fall in the price of oil back to "reasonable" levels. A fall in the price of oil does not mean that the tax levied on it should be allowed to increase. Increasing the tax on fuel at times of low oil prices is a very easy way to slip in a tax increase without people noticing, do it on the same day as another major news story and it's even easier.
