  1. Nope, you missed a subtle clue in my last post.
  2. Nope. Didn't think it was going to be this tough
  3. Is it a Lotus of some description?
  4. Well this thread has turned into a roll call of Bedlington's famous disused buildings won't be long before you get to the answer.
  5. End of October is apparantly the new completion date. Delay blamed on a shortage of stone deliveries. Any news on what (if any) event is going to utilise this new space to celebrate it's completion?
  6. Nope and the Gas shop isn't boarded up.
  7. I have attached copies and a transcript of some historic letters sent from Bedlington in the 1840's courtesy of Janet Kelly in New Zealand. Anybody have the replies in their loft? 8. Now that Mr Darn is back I think it's time to resurrect his "Bigger Picture" puzzle game from way back when. The idea is simple, post a cropped image of a place in Bedlington and get people to guess where it is. After a correct guess post the original revealing all. Here we go with the first one...
  9. I didn't expect you to get that one but you got it. Hulme CanAm in production form originally known as the F1 as a concept.
  10. Aaarghh forgot to put my predictions in for this week.
  11. http://www.theyworkforyou.com/debate/?id=2009-03-02b.570.5 Commons debate relating to the difficulty of small towns with populations of up to 20,000 gaining access to funding for local community radio stations.
  12. Ah you being picky and going to make me say speed 12? no idea on the year.
  13. You are free to use the report function for offensive posts just like anybody else. All deleted topics are placed in a hidden forum. I can see everything that is deleted by mods to prevent this type of thing. Only offensive language and personal attacks have ever been removed, nothing else. Personal opinions are welcome (and indeed encouraged) as always. It is quite clear in the site rules what is and what isn't allowed as has been explained several times now. These rules are displayed at registration and are available for anybody to read at any time here. They do. Thanks, it is good to hear that you appreciate what has been achieved on the site. It is very disheartening when many hours are put into providing a FREE resource for people to use as well as other things behind the scenes to help OUR town and then be accused of dictatorship when people are just trying to keep the site clean for all users.
  14. Roll up, roll up! get your Bedlington.co.uk Goodies here... http://www.cafepress.co.uk/bedders
  15. As far as I am aware no plans have been submitted beyond outline planning permission which was given in late June. I don't think building would be possible without a detailed application. I would imagine that is what the surveyors were there for.
  16. I wasn't suggesting you did but I'd think the "old folks" would need a roof over their heads and wouldn't be too happy about sleeping on a pile of rubble or in a garden shed.
  17. I suspect this is the usual rumour that surfaces with newly vacated premises similar to the recurring Wetherspoons one? There doesn't appear to be anything on the planning application register to suggest anything other than a rumour at this time.
